Halloween Defense Reviews

What is there to say about this game..? When I saw the defense in the name, I was hoping for a halloween themed zombie rush - heroes game (check that game out if you are into infinite tower defense games best money I ever spend). Which I still think is one of their best games ever released. And I think if they polished it a bit more and add in a few more features I think they could grow it into a franchise even. But thats the thing with this developer, they dont communicate at all, I doubt they even read the reviews or the forums, so they dont know what people want. They just do their own thing, and its fascinating in a way. They seem to have just bought an asset pack one day and decided, this is what my company is going to be based around, lol. (though I think this game has all new assets, the first one in a while?) All the more power to them, this is one developer that isnt afraid to experiment. Sadly, the experiments tend to be just bad and janky, and the ones that are good, go unnoticed. But I digress. This game is a town wave based defense game, where your goal is pretty much to get as high as you can score to put your name on the leaderboard. Its challenging in the way you will need to think wisely on how to spend your money, and how to upgrade your little town as efficiently as possible. And then you have all the skills you can upgrade, I make no exageration that I think this game probably has thousands of "builds" you could try and perfect. The problem is, money. You got neutral critter on the map you can kill for money, they are your main source of income early game, mid game, and late game lol. You got gold mines, but the amount of money they bring in is pretty neglible and I never figured out how to make it work. As soon as I couldnt kill the neutral critters anymore, I couldnt upgrade anything and was just constantly replenishing my troops or rebuilding my guard towers. I think, that if you are the person that doesnt mind a lot of jank in their game, and like to spend time to be as efficiently as possible with limited resources, and to get a score as high as possible. This is the game for you. For the rest of us, this is a hard pass. Now I go back in hibernation to wait if they will ever make another Zombie rush - heroes game.
