Well, I guess "all future content" is now a term that is open to interpretation. Probably a good value for what's in it. But to back out and change the description years later and continue to release content is scummy. Won't be putting any more money into this.

First of all this review is for the Season Pass only. The game content itself is fantastic, and I would buy it again. However, the Season Pass promised all future content and it fails to deliver on that promise. I understood the Shaman and charitable donation exception. I did expect to receive other content as advertised, that after all was the point of buying the Season Pass.
They need to change the name to 4th Edition Bundle if the publisher will continue to sell this. They should have increased the price of Season Pass for new purchasers as new content was released, not changed the terms for the loyal early supporters who took a chance that the game could just vanish like so many game have.
I am very disappointed in the policy, not the game.

Yeah pretty much a way to screw people who supported your early works. I bought this said it would allow access to all future DLC. Turns out that was only the punch line was "until we need to milk more money out of the early supporters". Well jokes on you I won't be spending another dime with Nomad Games.

At the time of purchase the season pass was said to include all future content, that selling point was then discarded by the developers on a whim. Do not trust them with your money.

When I purchased this in 2016, it said all future content. I saw a response on here that said if you purchased it in 2014 when it first became available you should get it. Well, I hate to say it, but it was much longer of a period of time that said you'd get everything. Very much a disappointment to pop in to check, since I was thinking of buying a few keys for friends so we could play to learn that there's a bunch of DLC that I haven't gotten.
I'm okay with not getting charity heroes. That's a special thing, and I'd be happy paying for them.
I am NOT happy that I spent $45 in 2016, thinking I'd get everything they release for the game. I knew it was a good deal. I have a LOT of time spent in it.

This is really annoying. Like on a whole new greedy level annoying.
I bought the season pass and thought I'd get access to everything.
Well I guess I was mistaken.
Now if I want the new characters and expansions I gotta pay again, and when more content is released, I'll have to buy them separately as well.
Clear cash grab.
What's even more annoying is how fun the game is and the clear sense of nostalgia I feel each time I play so I feel compelled to buy and keep playing

This is a good deal, regardless of what its price is at the time. As some have presented, being unable to earn the runestones is a bit of a downside as the only house rules regarding runestones are "use them" and "don't use them".
You'll easily spend over $60 buying a physical copy of Talisman, and a mini-expansion, USED. Still worth the value for the physical game.
With the Season Pass you never have to be concerned with buying expansions separately. Please avoid asking "when is such and such expansion coming out" on the Digital Edition forums. Come to the store page and click the "More" link.
Each expansion is added automatically when it becomes available, and a menu button is added to the Expansion and Rules screen so you can select the bits you want to use.

The game is actually great. I'm not reviewing the game itself... just the Season's Pass. The company originally promised all future content would be included, but has recently changed the wording and released a new expansion that is not included. I had already purchased almost all the content separately (for iOS and Android too!), and decided to buy the Season's pass to guarantee all future content. Boy was I a fool! Unfortunately, not only will I NOT support this business practice by NOT buying the expansion, but I will skip it on Android and iOS too.
To be clear, the game is fun. I'm reviewing the Season's Pass. It was a bald-faced lie. Now, it might still be a good deal for people that haven't purchased any DLC yet, but for those of us who have, be warned. Seems I got screwed.

I paid a lot to buy all future content this game. Hadn't played for a while and saw a new expansion so opened up and was appalled to realise that even though three expansions had come out since I last played I had access to none of them. I bought the season pass back when it had no certain value, being almost more expensive then buying the DLC separately and they broke that faith in them. I'm going to make note of this publisher and developer for the future.

Product not as described originally - I bought this when the game was still Early Access and supported the franchise before it even went live. When the season pass came out they promised all future content and then changed the details of the paid agreement to only include everything up to the point they pull an EA on us.
What is the point of a Season Pass when it took almost 5 years to get all of the content for it out and then immediately pump out 3 other expansions NOT included in the Season pass in quick succession within a year. I took a break from the digital version to play the physical version of Talisman and its many many expansions only to come back to see that there were a bunch of DLC that needed payment. Having pretty much ALL of the hard copy versions of the board game and supporting this game early on, this feels like a nice dagger to the back. Thanks Devs!
