The game is really similar to Russia. RUSS VS LIZARDS is a great game to play with your friends.

I've seen plenty of glowing reviews for Lizards Must Die! and it's clear the game has struck a chord with many players. However, my own experience was a stark contrast. TLDR: Lizards Must Die! is a hot pile of lizard turds dressed up as a 'so-bad-it’s-good' joke except the fact that it's an excuse for shipping and monetizing trash. I went in ready to embrace its janky charm believing it's a game equivalent of Tommy Wiseau's *The Room*. Turns out it's a trainwreck that can’t decide if it’s trying to be ironically terrible or just…terrible. The controls are clunky as hell, the bugs feel like unpaid interns coded them during lunch breaks, and the “story” is a Post-It note that says “kill lizards??? lol” taped to a monitor (and that's the highlight of the game since it IS actually ironic). It’s not just “rough around the edges”!! The design is a muddled attempt to mix “intentional badness” with the mechanics of a serious title. Think Vampire Survivors, but you have to play without hands. It’s like the devs couldn’t commit to either camp: too broken to function as a real game, too half-assed to land as satire. You’re left clawing at a mess that can’t even decide what flavor of failure it’s aiming for. It’s a rash-frustration level DUMPSTER fire with ZERO self-awareness or RESPECT! Keep in mind, I’ve played bad games that own their trashiness. This isn’t that. It’s lazy, cynical, and feels like it was scrapped together by dev/s allergic to effort -- and sure there's plenty of that *out there* so why condemn this one? Brother in Christ, the devs made a broken and frustrating short-game experience and then somehow found THE GALL to drop a DLC mercenary class that’s so comically overpowered, it’s like they took a flamethrower to their own game’s balance…then slapped a PRICE TAG on it. Imagine releasing a broken toaster and selling the bread separately. That’s this DLC! In other words, the most elaborate part of this dog-water of a game is its monetization "strategy". Save your cash for FarmVille or Diablo 4 or *something?* if you're looking to support cult-adjacent garbage.
