The Lord of the Night: Pombero Reborn embarks on an ambitious journey, tapping into folklore that promises an eerie and engaging gameplay. The visuals are intriguing, especially when experienced in 4K. However, this game seems to struggle under its own weight.
The major bug encountered during the resolution change from standard to 4K renders the menu persistent, which becomes more of an obstruction than a tool. It's disappointing to see such a fundamental oversight in a title that aims high in terms of graphics.
As for gameplay, the experience is a mixed bag. While the atmosphere is charged and the setting deeply immersive, navigation and progression can be frustratingly non-intuitive. Getting trapped in the living room, for instance, without any clear directives or logical cues is an exercise in patience and, occasionally, exasperation.
