EPIC! Buy it, buy it, buy it. Now, I am 50 years old and my first computer was a C64. There is a TON of nostalgia here for me and I am extremely biased. I also happen to love games like bounder, trailblazer, wizball etc. I love bouncy ball games in other words. Maybe I just like bouncy balls? Seriously though, what has impressed me is the emulation. This is a second reason as to why I am so happy I bought this. You get a ton of display options so you are bound (pun intended) to find one that suits you. You have a blur filter but again, optional. I turned it off and this is some of the sharpest looking C64 emulation I've seen. It just worked. And with my Bluetooth x input controller right off the bat. I happen to love the two bounder games so it's a no brainer for me, and I can only hope that they release the original C64 version as only the inferior CPC and Spectrum versions without any parallax scrolling or in game music are available on steam. (I am not entirely sure if this sequel was ported to other 8 bit micros other than C64). Again, GG & Pixel Games, release the original bounder game with the C64 version please! It's the best iteration of the original game! I'll buy it in a flash if that happens, and have the set :) I am gushing over a $4 C64 game from my youth. So what is it about? It couldn't be simpler and I consider it an arcade puzzle game. You basically have to bounce the ball on the various stages and avoid pits and obstacles. Simple, challenging fun. There's no input lag. It has a properly resizable windowed mode. It has multiple full screen viewing options. You can have it pixel perfect or vertically stretched, or if you have zero respect for retro gaming, you can even go full widescreen! The reason I am excited, and all of you should be too, is that even if you aren't a fan of this particular game, we are talking flawless emulation here with ALL THE RIGHT OPTIONS. How often can one say that about retro games on Steam? I have just seen the world of opportunity before us.. Whatever C64 licenses devs can get their hands on (of decent games I mean), do it and use this front end. It's perfection.
