"Cannibal Tales". It was the title that hooked me. And the art in it kept me seated and invested. Helen is a journalist who is a little too willing to get her hands dirty for the scoop of the century. Episode 1 wastes no time establishing this as she's in a bad relationship, a dangerous job and capturing a truly gruesome story in all it's gritty detail. The highlight for me is the art. It oozes the same campy exploitation that rippled through the decades of horror film genre. The soundtrack, ambiance, (very) limited animation compose imagery to shock and captivate. ... But it's still just one episode and it's been sometime since the last update. I hate to think this project has been dropped because there is so much potential in it. It's the only thing keeping me from giving it a down vote. I played again just so I had an excuse to write this review. Cannibal Tales does leave me hungry for more, yet my plate remains empty. Will the next course be worth the wait? I can only hope.

Not the giallo I grew up with. It’s more of a homage to a certain book series that became movies, don’t want to spoil it. It’s not Cannibal Holocaust. The insertion of the bloody-disgusting website really kept me from getting fully immersed in the story. The artwork and music create a great atmosphere. Doesn’t waste your time, it cuts out all the visceral fat that is left in most narratives. One more severed thumb of positivity to add to the soup.

Been a fan of the older Italian movies that inspired this kind of genre. This game though is super short and it tells you to put headphones on but the music and sound effects are mediocre. The story itself is like a rushed simplified version of a functional B movie script. Almost like a teen wrote this after reading bout the movies but he never actually saw them. I was actually taken aback by just how bad this is. Also find it funny once i saw the price dropoff for the first week, you know EXACTLY why that happened. i GUARENTEE almost everybody who played this never actually recommended it, because its just not a good story, the only truthful reviews i seen are the negative ones, and take that as you may because the good reviews i feel like were just supporters or people who just want the story to finish. (it will not it's already dropped). 1/5 - Don't bother with this steaming pile of excrement.
