Cute, humorous, and very few "hero only" maps

Same as the game, just more levels. It's pretty fun, but you may want to get it on sale.

Underrated indie game with good dlc that expands the game time with a good chunk of story

Much like From Outcast to Savior, it adds another campaign to the game. Unlike From Outcast to Savior, however, there is no benefit to having this DLC, aside from completing all game content and getting achievements.
Achievement hunters will need this DLC to get 3(?) achievements specific to this campaign.
As someone who likes going for the achievements, I'd recommend the DLC. However, due to the small/non-existant community that plays multiplayer, the new equipment in the campaign is primarily useless outside of the campaign due to the lack of multiplayer games.

Better than the other DLC as this one has more castles to destroy and a decent mix of other missions. There were a few clunkers in there which are just hero based, and also a few missions which are practically carbon copies of each other. Still for 90% off it's a decent addition if you want more to play in this world.

So, how to put it? It is bad. Let me explain why.
Firstly, after the base game and the other dlc, this one forgot that this game is a castle-crusher and not 2D-sidescroller fighting game. Which shouldn't be a real problem, but it makes most of the unlockable features unnecesarry. I could max out most of the levels with the basic weaponry, spells and troops, without unlocking the lategame ones.
About the story: It's just the story of the other dlc inverted. When the royalist go to vikingland in that campaign, the viking rebels go to the kingdom in this one. But the two final stages are the worst: they are almost the same in both dlcs. Well, more precisely, in this one, they are a bit harder.
In conclusion, it doesn't really add too much to the base game experience, i don't recommend buying it.

There is not much difference in the 2 dlc for this game. By that i mean, if you want to finish the storyline with boy thing, then pick the other one. if you want to finish the story with girl thing, then pick this one. No joke, when you get to the second last boss, the boy/girl have an argument who gets to fight it and the last boss, if you pick this DLC, then you play through the second part of the story from the girl's stand point and you win the arguement against the boy at the end and you fight the last boss as the girl.
As for multiplayer, its dead, game had its heyday and is finished. So unless you are a completionist and are going for all acheiv's, then pick one or the other, but you still have to choose, do you wanna play as boy thing? then pick the other dlc, if you wanna play as girl thing, then pick this dlc (but be warned, girl throw's axes, and on the second last boss fight, if the axe handle hits the part you need to hit (which is often), then it wont do dmg, unlike boy who uses bow and arrow).
Why am i recommending against this dlc? Simple, The second last boss fight is less tedious as the boy because the arrow's fly straight and true (and always shoot pointy end first which means you dont have to worry about RNG BS and can end the fight in under 2 mins, unlike the girl where i had a 10 min long fight because the damn axe handle kept hitting the spot your supposed to hit and thus not take any dmg, had to wait for RNG to happen so the axe part hit the damn gaint cyst your supposed to hit on the dragon).

Kinda baaad. Way too many 2d shitty combat sections forced on you. They forgot the fun part of the game is the castle part.

This is the shorter (2.4 hrs for me) of the DLCs, but I think better -- more on par with the main game.
This DLC offers some nice, new challenges on a variety of new levels, so while I do agree this is "more of the same", it doesn't feel repetitive. Instead it's a good thing -- more fun knocking down castles and stealing flags on new maps with new challenges!
The DLC was enjoyable and entertaining but it is short. The brawler missions that are there, which I don't overly care for that style, moved the story along and that brawler mission type isn't used too much in the DLC.
Overall: It's definitely worth getting it in the bundle as it's certainly enjoyable. 7.5 out of 10.
DLC verdict: Get it on sale OR Get it in the bundle with the base game
Comment:
The story from continues in this (shorter) campaign where you play as the viking girl from the base game. The difficulty is wobbly, some levels on Hard are a piece of cake ... some make you unreasonably angry. Either way if you like to see how the story unfolds (from the viking girl perspecitve) and/or want to play more campaign levels then this is for you. But get it on a sale or in a bundle with the base game.
