I was never a fan of Smurfs, never really understood the appeal. But after playing this game and Villeaf, I've really fallen in love with this world. The level design is fantastic, some of the best I've seen in a 3d platformer. What I really appreciate about it is the sense of scale. You are a tiny creature running around a world build by giants. And being so small makes mundane objects and architecture into fantastic platforming segments. There is so much variety in the platforming, it never got dull, not for a single second, there's always something new, and the environments are so charming and pretty as well as immersive. Compared to Villeaf, this game is more linear, which may be a good thing or a bad thing depending on taste. I personally preferred it, as I did not enjoy being forced to return to levels after I got a new power to get things that I could not get before. Here, you have all the powers you need to 100% every level in the first run. Unfortunately, because the levels are linear and MASSIVE, if you miss something, you will have to play through a massive linear level to find what you missed. And it's very, very easy to miss 1-3% of the crystal cleanup. That would be frustrating to people who wish to 100% this game I imagine, but I am not a completionist, so it didn't bother me. Anyway. PLAY THESE GAMES. They are amazing. If you like puzzle platformers, or 3d platformers, even a little bit, you need to give these games a go.
