I came back to this game after 10 years, still the same ready-made models, the same bugs, Just Play pirate version of this game , a waste of the money and time I spent on it... Calling it an anniversary :))))))))))

Dying Light is an absolute masterpiece of survival horror and open-world parkour. From the moment you step into the infected city of Harran, you're immersed in a world that feels truly alive (or undead, rather). The parkour mechanics are some of the best in gaming, making traversal an exhilarating experience as you leap across rooftops, scale buildings, and escape hordes of zombies in pulse-pounding chases. The day-night cycle adds a whole new level of intensity—during the day, you can scavenge and explore with relative ease, but once the sun sets, the terrifying Volatiles emerge, turning the game into a nerve-wracking survival experience. The combat is brutal and satisfying, with a deep weapon customization system that lets you create all sorts of deadly tools. On top of that, the co-op mode makes the game even better. Teaming up with friends to take down zombies, complete missions, and just free-run around the city is an absolute blast. Even years after its release, Dying Light remains one of the best zombie games ever made. If you love action, horror, and open-world freedom, this game is a must-play!

I used to think I liked zombie games. I played them all—slow, fast, crafting survival, mindless shooters... but then Dying Light came along and ruined everything. Now, in any other zombie game, I feel like I'm crawling through wet cement in flip-flops. No other game lets me parkour across rooftops like a caffeinated ninja, throw zombies off buildings like I'm in an action movie, and then immediately regret all my life decisions when the sun goes down. This game delivers on all fronts. Just when you think you've done it all, along comes The Following DLC with new locations, an improved story, and a freaking buggy to mow down zombies at 100 mph. It's everything I ever wanted—what more could you ask for? Oh, I know. How about a medieval dungeon crawler inside a zombie game? Because that's exactly what Hellraid brings to the table. One moment you're slashing through infected in Harran, the next you're wielding swords and battling demonic skeletons in a cursed tower. Does it make sense? Not really. Is it fun? Absolutely. Techland deserves a medal for making a zombie game that still looks amazing years later. Or at the very least, they deserve my eternal gratitude. 10/10 I would play it again.

TLDR: Gameplay is good but the story is awful. I was excited by the reviews, but after playing the story mode I give it a 6/10. The gameplay loop is great, the movement and the environment is top notch. But to hinder all gameplay to an awful story mode took all my enthusiasm. All I could think when I got to the end credits after a very anticlimactic QTE end fight was "Finally it is over". Probably much more endurable with friends. It would be way better with more survival elements and more freedom on your own character. Still for the price I got it on sale I still recommend it. Would not replay the story though, just the parkour zombie gameplay.

Great game for a zombie apocalypse, great story, sad parts, made me cry a little. The side quests are a little annoying, but they still gave great lore into the game

Hands-down the most fun zombie game I have ever played. An absolute masterpiece that perfectly balances fear and fun, challenging and rewarding the player for exploring and being creative. Even after 10 years the game looks and plays amazingly well, which goes to show just how ahead of its time the game was at launch. It has the best parkour system outside of Mirror's Edge and an extremely satisfying melee combat system with a wide variety of creative and brutal weapons to play with. If you are a fan of zombie games, or just action games in general, you absolutely need to play Dying Light.

Dying Light is a game that makes you feel fear, excitement, laughter, and frustration all at once. The developers at Techland have created something between Mirror’s Edge, Dead Island, and classic zombie movies. If you want to experience the thrill of running across rooftops while being chased by a horde of the undead, this game is for you. Story: Cliched but Effective You play as Kyle Crane, an agent of the GRE organization, sent into the quarantined city of Harran, which has been overrun by a virus. Your mission is to infiltrate a group of survivors and find incriminating evidence on the local warlord, Rais. It sounds like a typical action-survival plot, but the game does a decent job of exploring moral choices—who to trust, who to help, and what to do when the truth turns out to be more terrifying than the zombies. However, the story is more of a bonus. It doesn’t try to reach The Last of Us levels of depth, but it keeps you engaged. There are moments when you genuinely care about the characters, but more often, you just want to grab a new weapon and smash another zombie’s skull. Gameplay: Parkour, Gore, and Fear 1. Parkour The game’s biggest feature is movement. You’re not just running; you’re vaulting over obstacles, clinging to ledges, wall-running, and diving off rooftops. And it all feels smooth and natural. The adrenaline rush of jumping from a fifth-floor rooftop into a pile of garbage while zombies chase you is something you won’t forget. 2. Combat System At first, you’re armed with a stick and some sheer willpower. Zombies don’t mind getting hit with a stick, but as you progress, you find machetes, hammers, and brass knuckles. The combat system is similar to Dead Island—you can modify weapons with electricity, poison, or fire. There are guns, but ammo is scarce, and shooting attracts even more zombies. Melee combat feels weighty: every hit results in crunching bones, severed limbs, and flying chunks of flesh. And if you get tired of fighting, you can just kick zombies off rooftops or blow them up with makeshift explosives. 3. Nighttime is Pure Horror During the day, you’re the hunter. At night, you’re the prey. When the sun sets, Volatiles come out—fast, strong, and smart mutants. If daytime lets you explore the city in peace, nighttime turns every shadow into a threat. These moments make you want to uninstall the game, turn off your computer, and hug a teddy bear. Graphics and Atmosphere Visually, the game still looks great, even years after its release (2015). Harran is a mix of slums, ruins, and beautiful sunsets. By day, the city feels normal, but at night, it turns into a horror movie—red flashlight beams, shadows creeping on the walls, and the terrifying screams of zombies. The sound design is top-tier. The groans of the undead send chills down your spine, and when a Volatile is breathing right behind you, your instincts scream, Run, fool! Co-op is a Blast Solo play is great, but co-op takes it to another level. Racing friends to safe zones or defending yourselves against hordes of zombies is pure fun. You can also troll your teammates by luring zombies their way or leaving them behind at the worst moments. Flaws? A Few, But Nothing Major 1. The story is a bit generic. Interesting, but not groundbreaking. 2. Melee combat can get repetitive. After 20 hours, you’re just mechanically smashing heads. 3. Occasional bugs. Sometimes zombies get stuck in walls or start flying. It’s hilarious. Final Verdict: Is It Worth Playing? Dying Light is a must-play if you love zombies, action, and parkour. It delivers unforgettable emotions—from the terror of nighttime chases to the joy of co-op chaos. Despite a cliché story and some repetitive combat, its gameplay and atmosphere elevate it to a top-tier experience. Score: 9 severed zombie heads out of 10.
