The AI types are a welcome addition, especially for those not very good at the game, or who like to take it more easy, Chivalric ai is great for that, you don't need to stress about every single important building you captured and worry about it being destroyed, after all the ai is a gentleai and wouldn't be so rude as to destroy them, that ai alone is why I'd recommend it to new players to the game. Thankfully that's not all the dlc has to offer, the new ships are a lot of fun, and the protector starship really allows you to focus on a small elite strike force where instead of relying on shields or high health, you rely on its modules destroying incoming enemy projectiles which is pretty satisfying once you've got all the mark 1/4 of it unlocked, even more so when you get the core protector starship, great fun. All in all I love how this dlc adds new stuff for both those who could use a bit of help in the form of chivalric ai and some of the new ships and also those looking for an even bigger challenge in the form of new guardians and ai plots, shark is, well it's brutal once you mess up.
