Really unique and addicting game. Every character feels different enough and seem to have multiple play styles that can work. The weapons can give you some interesting combinations too as they give you a unique card for that weapon as an attack option.

The game's overall concept is pretty cool, Swords & Sandals mixed with Slay the Spire. Where it goes wrong though is the shitty telegraphing of a move's range, the horrid card explanations, and the overall lack of balance. Some cards are literally worthless no matter the run/build and some cards are just so broken you'd be insane not to take them every run. Just take a look at the equipment you can find throughout the game, 90% is comically useless. Every single early-game I find myself using the Thief's armor & helmet because early on, there's nothing that even comes close! Even many of the late-game armors often fall short to max-upgraded thief armor. The game eventually becomes this slog of finding the few broken builds that basically allow you to kill the final boss in one rotation, and disregarding every other weapon, armor, and card. To me it doesn't seem like there's any room for innovation, especially on the later ascension levels. It's in early access, so hopefully the game is subject to change. But for now, I can only give it a 5/10 and cannot recommend it.
