I'm quite disappointed because it looks very good and was quite interesting for the first hour or so, but it quickly becomes clear that there really isn't enough content to make this a compelling rogue-lite.
A saga consists of 6 villages, where you start with a new tribe and location each time with the only thing that links it all together other than the differing tribes and locations is that you can discover one landmark per village which gives a permanent bonus for the saga. Unfortunately, all of the tribes or locations play more or less the same.
Within each village, the goal is always the same. You must discover tiles which can be one of 5 different terrains, and based on the terrain you can collect harvest (another resource, which is ultimately what you have to collect to "win") using a different building. Again, unfortunately there is very little difference between each of these terrains and it feels like they function more as a limiter on how easy it is to harvest them rather than there being some deep strategic differences. This ends up being more tedious to deal with rather than there being some strategic complexity to engage with.

I'm mostly confused. It threw 11 blocking text pointing at the stuff right off the bat before I was able to play for 5 sec. Zero context and threw a bunch of information I immediately forgot. Then I kept bumping into "already built" when trying to build stuff. I feel that instead of forcing me to a memory game of trying to remember the info dump you gave me at the start, maybe give me some tooltips or something, contextual information or something.
At some point I won ? I clicked at stuff, stuff happened, I didn't have any real strategy since I never understood what I was doing. I gathered hearts and sometimes was allowed to build stuff with it, then was waiting for winter, sometimes I would unlock masteries that felt useless because I didnt feel like I was ever in control of my constructions.
I cant formmulate a strategy has I do not understand what I can and cannot do but most importantly: why I can or cannot do those things.
