-High price tag for only 4 short, boring and confusing minigames. They never change, is always the same, over and over again.
-Team based gameplay, you can't select just 1 uma, or make your own team picking the ones you want. Even if dumb, I would understand this if the teams were the exact sames as the one established in the anime seasons, but they couldn't even do that right.
-The sprites are nice but the gameplay is so fast they become quickly unrecognizable, I don't understand why they didn't just use the beautiful 3D models from the gacha game.
-Online multiplayer is region locked and has no crossplay, both points are an absolute sin for a game as niche as this, it was dead on arrival.
This was released 6 months ago, half a year, I preordered it and then refunded it (and forgot to post a review LMAO sry), but I've investigated a bit and so far they haven't added anything new, only 2 teams, with a 3rd one comming who knows when, but really adding more characters doesn't matter here, the game has 0 to no content at all, if they released a minigame collection with only 4 minigames (that's honestly pathetic) they should at least update the game adding new ones over time, but as I said, this was dead on arrival, even from the developer side.
1st worldwide project from Uma Musume (or I guess is "Umamusume" in the west even tho those are 2 words) and is a total disappointment.

Umamusume: Pretty Derby – Party Dash is an exceptional party game and my game of the year for 2024! Is it too overpriced? I wouldn't say so. Yes, there's only four events, but said events are extremely polished and have near infinite replayability. The controls are tight, responsive, and became natural as you continue to play. The sprite work is gorgeous and the skill curve is designed so that anyone can enjoy it, no matter the skill level. To prove my point: I had this game set up at a gaming expo in January and the people easily comprehended the game play and enjoyed their time with it, even taking interest in purchasing the game for themselves. Do not be fooled: there is a HIGH skill ceiling for this game, but it's not so complicated as to turn off beginners. With time and practice, you will get good at this game! Get some friends over or play online, and you WILL have a blast with this game! Do not fret if you're all alone, because there's still plenty to do! Story mode is fully voice-acted by the original VA's and gives insight on the various teams and their determination to win the Slapdash Grand Prix. Though short, it is absolutely worth a play through with every team. Additionally, Golshi's Grand Adventure 2 is a highly addictive subgame that combines an endless runner with RPG elements. Sessions can go on for extended periods of time and it's progression system always has you pressing further for a higher score. Overall, Umamusume: Pretty Derby – Party Dash is an incredible party game, and one of the best video games I've ever played! The game's limited number events end up becoming it's strengths, as instead of over-saturating the game with tons of unpolished, lackluster events, the devs focused on polishing and designing four events to be as fun, immersive, and competitive as possible. I consistently play this game with a friend online twice a week, and it still never gets repetitive! Quality over Quantity is the name of this game, and for that, I strongly believe that this game isn't overpriced in the slightest!

Highly recommend, IF you're already into Umamusume IP.
(I bought the special edition at full price because why not I'm a die hard fan I got my cerebrospinal fluid fully merged with uma shit)
Otherwise not really worth the price; consider purchasing when it's on sale
You get to play 4 main games, Dodge ball, Basketball, Food fighting, and Obstacle course racing
There's AN additional mini game, but that's pretty much all the content this game offers.
At least you can do some room decorations, something you can't still do in the original game after 4 years of release.
The team story is well written, but DLC teams don't get the additional storyline.
The story is fully dubbed, with decent quality subtitles included.
Honestly it's more of a fan-service rather than a standalone branch.
P.S. the movie version of this IP is REALLY WELL MADE, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND 20 OUT OF 10 CHECK OUT 劇場版『ウマ娘 プリティーダービー 新時代の扉』
