What the hell happened? Did the creators of this game get bit by the same bug the Ion Fury guys got bitten by? This is mellow where the first game was intense. Soundtrack is almost non existent... Guns suck. Enemy variety seems way less. The enemies do this thing where they hide and shoot from extremely far away for no particular reason. It's odd in a visually artistic title like this for enemies to hide and camp so much. I think I can beat it, but god. I'm trying to stay awake while playing this game. I guess you can't top perfection. Oh, and one more thing. What's with the yellow tape? Is that a joke?

There's fun to be found in Forgive Me Father 2, I swear- but between the odd weapon upgrades (some of them just worse), the uninspiring level design, and constant prattling from the protagonist- it's sometimes hard to find. Later levels get better, and the gunplay is fun, which is why I recommend this game, ultimately. Just do what I did and turn the voice sound off and start shootin'.

It's terrific! A worthy sequel of the original, maybe even better and ironed out. This one does feel a little bit more balanced, which in turn it gets the feeling to be easier, but don't be deceived, this is still a challenging game. Awesome graphics and visual style, great gameplay and your Lovecraftian fix just like you want it; it may lean a little bit more on horror than action in this one, but just a little bit. Bottom line is if you enjoyed the first one, you are gonna like this one even more! This could really keep going and get a third part, just saying. 4.5/5

The game is really good but still slightly worse than the prequel in my opinion (especially the progression system). The comic-like art-style and visuals are really well done, the overall atmosphere is great and gunplay is very solid. I could easily give the game a ~9/10 if it wasn't for one major issue - level design. I've played a lot of shooters on highest difficulty before and this game has one of the most frustrating level sections I've ever seen. I'm talking about situations where you are being dropped into a tiny open rooms with enemies spawning from every direction. Ending section of the "Villa" level on Expert difficulty was especially awful and took me over an hour, beating that level came down to quick-saving and RNG (few enemies got stuck on the stairs). There are several similar areas in the game and 90% of these difficulty spikes come down to getting shot in the back no matter where you're standing or aiming by something that just spawned behind you. Did no one test it? Other than that, the game is great (but I still prefer the first one).

Ending to Forgive me Father 1, leaves you feeling if the monsters exist or is he one deluded psychopath that went on a killing spree. This picks up right at the end leaving you question his motive as he continuously has a voice "his voice" in his head talking to him with evil intentions.

This game will not run and hasn't for months. It seems to not be getting fixed, which really sucks because there is a good game somewhere in there. I can play it on my steam deck but it is a horrible experience. I feel basically scammed, never buying another early access title. I've spent 3 of my 4 hours in the game just trying to make it run. It ran fine in EA for me but I decided to hold off playing until they got voice acting in the game or full release, and here we are.

An alright sequel, but unfortunately it pales in comparison to the first game. New levels are definitely an improvement (except for an Egypt level, fuck that). They're bigger and look stunning. The redesigned perk system is interesting, but feels too restrictive. You can only choose 3 of them, and of course one of them will always be ‘more ammo’. New enemies are mostly boring, and the old ones became less fun to fight. The story is meh. I liked the ambiguity of the first game, but it's fine.
Such a shame that the Journalist was moved to another ward.
You might think I hate this game, but it's far from true. The game's fun, I enjoyed it. Some people, who never played the first game, will enjoy it even more.

Great game, but i still prefer the first FMF. And for those who love 100% games on hardest dif. I have the biggest fight with "return to asylum" (its like return to main base, you can visit that between missions) becasue some idiot did think there would be great idea to have only 1 autosave, and game does autosave right after you missclick on that button. So it will teleport you to asylum and rewrite your saved checkpoint.. So if you dont have manual save in that mission, enjoy the fight you did strugle with.

Cool at the start kinda mid the more you go through it. The game thinks that the game being harder makes you easier to kill instead of them harder to kill. Should make more things in the game actual cover. Make the pistol zombie not so accurate. Make the fighting areas more balanced so actually have cover or can circle the arena without then spawn in front of me. Make the obelisk AOE railgun. Add slightly more health drops. the ammo is fine. Make the shield not completely useless. Make the book last slightly longer its kinda useless atm. Make the ghosts fully tangable even when they jump and slower their projectile speed and attack speed. Im sick of them spamming jump while im trying to shoot them and im sick of their purple bomb having homing remove that entirely. Add stun to enemies for rapid attacks such as the machine gun. the spread is fine. Add slightly more capacity to the revolver and the machine gun and reserve ammo. Remove or lessen the the interaction boxes im sick of the game spam spawning zombies surrounding me whenever I try to get cover. The friendly fire needs to increase damage slightly especially with the pistol zombies shooting their own. Im probably not gunna play this game until most of these things are implemented
