This is one of those where I'd give it a mixed review if it existed. This is a promising tech demo for an indie third-person Mirror's Edge Catalyst. Let's be real, that's what this is. I think for a tech demo this short, it should be free. Just try the free demo version of it. For what it is, it feels pretty decent, has a decent flow, but there's some parts that are jank and slow as others have stated. Namely, if you're not running (sprinting, can we please get a toggle for that?) and you hit a vaultable object, you'll just come to a complete standstill. You need to go backwards a bit and sprint into it. Another thing it needs is a first-person mode toggle and the ability to wallrun on all walls. Otherwise once you learn its quirks, it feels pretty Medgy. An area in couple of the levels (out of 5 including the tutorial and a dev room!) are very difficult/inconsistent to complete. Namely a zipline after a wallrun in Construction and the final wallrunning sections in Action Blocks. It's doable, but very awkward. Hopefully Glass Wings 2.0 becomes a thing, but I don't have much Faith at this point.

It's a good starting point (for its very small price), although the physics doesn't always feel right (jump vs vault ambiguity and random unpredictability, which sometimes leads to having to retry a section a frustrating amount of times, particularly when checkpoints are far from each other)

The rest of the game mechanics nearly done well. Just that is missing a button layout for gamepad users, and object interaction or hitbox that is needed to readjust. I couldn't hold down the left stick for longer. Wished it enable toggling for dashing.

Id recommend this game for a cheap mirrors edge fix, I had some problems as the roll key being alt but id also assume this is meant for controller, The wallrunning section i tend to bounce off a lot rather than actually sticking to said wall. There was also a zipline that wasn't easy to reach i think on the third level? soundtrack works really well i like it. for what its worth yes u can finish it in around 20 minutes but for a $1 or 89p if ur english its not bad(edit: i got it on sale for 44p). hope to see a bigger and more polished product in the future.
