At the moment, no - it's not early access - it's super early access.
The idea is good, the locations are cool, the visual is great - but that's it.
There is nothing to do in the game, there is little content, the action game is terrible, bugs, softlocks, so far it all looks very raw. The characters are empty, the locations are empty, the crafting is boring, all this would have worked 20 years ago, but not now
I believe in this game, and in a couple of years I hope to get something amazing, but for now, thumbs down and a refund.

I will always love the zombie genre. This hits that Z-Simulation in all the right ways! It can only go up from here. Looking for many more improvements and updates for the future to come. Give it a try if you love permadeath and survivors with their own needs. Love the fact that not all the survivors are fighters and it might take a while for one zombie to go down in battle and that might cost you your weapon.
Fight or Flight. You choose. Happy Surviving!

As someone who really enjoyed This War of Mine, Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days immediately grabbed my attention — and clearly, the developers took inspiration from it. The looting mechanics, line of sight, and overall survival tension feel familiar, now reimagined in a zombie-infested world.
Overall, I liked the game. It doesn’t break new ground, but its similarity to This War of Mine was enough to draw me in. Still, there are areas where the experience feels underdeveloped — likely due to the early access state, but worth mentioning.
The main loop is simple: loot, improve your shelter, survive, and eventually escape the city. But right now, the game feels a bit hollow. There’s no meaningful interaction between characters. They have backstories, but they don’t evolve. Events during scavenging — even something as serious as killing someone — trigger no visible emotional response, aside from the “Guilt” trait.
In such a minimalistic structure, the strength lies in how well you flesh out the spaces between those basic elements. That’s where Our Darkest Days currently struggles. After 10 hours, I don’t think I’d get a very different experience on a second run. The characters just don’t feel human enough to form any emotional attachment.
I also reached two of the game’s endings. While there are multiple outcomes, the final result screen didn’t seem to reflect the actual journey — how many survivors I lost, who made it to the end, or the choices I made. No matter how I finished, the ending felt the same, which was a bit anticlimactic.
That said, I enjoyed the gameplay and see a lot of potential here. I trust that many of these rough edges will be polished as development continues. Still, it's important to acknowledge what’s missing so far — especially in a game that relies on emotional investment.

I love the concept of the game its great and the amount of detail put into each level makes each area a different challenge to navigate through. The downside however is that the game is still a buggy mess and unfinished. lots of inconsistencies with when enemies aggro. Loading into levels enemies will aggro before you've even moved as well as running through buildings. I'd like to see difficulty modes put in and more of a story behind the game itself as well as the bugs being fixed.
With the updates themselves its almost like the game devs are trying to make it harder and although its fun for a survival game to be somewhat difficult, when you make the game unplayable to the point where you have no food water or medical supplies how is any of that fun when you cant even progress through the game. The majority of people who want to play through games want to do so at their pace and without so many road blocks. Hence the suggestion for difficulty settings. Take Project Zombiod for example.

Got one of the endings within the first week of playing, excited to find the others. I'm a little skiddish when it comes to horror and zombie games, but this one was fun and somewhat beginner friendly. Easier to play on controller in my opinion.
