This is the only survivor type that is related to aliens that has the same comfy style we all know and love in certain titles. Some games attempt it but it is definitely an art.
While perhaps there are balance issues to be resolved, I disagree as that is the point of the difficulty.
There are systems present that are not in any other form available in maybe survivor likes, this alone should warrant the price and time.
There is a tunnel worm like in dune wrecking me.
Other than that its good, perhaps I should get gud scrub :)

7/10 brings nothing new or unique to the survivors like genre, but it solid game with plenty to unlock at a very reasonable price.

Simple yet a lot of fun. It's nothing extremely new or innovative in the genre, but if you liked vampire survivors then you'll like this one. I feel like it deserves more attention than it's gotten so far.

The game had potential. It really did. Unfortunately, the "developer" decided to abandon the project just two months after announcing a "large update" being in the works. He said that the update would take about 2 months to complete, and that the development would begin the following month. But then, two months later, they announced that the game was being abandoned and no update was delivered.

Finally a "survivor" game with a scifi setting! It's very early in EA, but despite that it's a lot of fun and also quite challenging. I look forward to seeing how far this game can go.
Devs are doing an amazing job at engaging and communicating with their community!
Alien Slayers Review

Alien Slayers is what i like to call a Vampire-Survivors-like.
After Vampire Survivors became a hit on Steam dozens of similar games flooded Steam.
Most of those Games were not bad. But they were missing some "own DNA"
Alien Slayers in my Opinion is one of the few Games, that's quite similar in Mechanics to VS, but still has enough own ideas so i don't get bored after 2 rounds.
There are several credentials to pop culture/sci-fi
The Game runs absolutely smooth both on the pc and on the Steam Deck.
Although it is not Steam-Deck verified there were no flaws so far.
Pros:
-About a dozen playable characters with different stats and weapons.
-Good, fitting Soundtrack.
-Appealing pixel-graphics
-Missions on the different Maps.
-Addicting Gameplay
Cons:
-Only 2 Maps so far
-Only 2 difficulties so far
-Only 2 missions so far(this gets repetitive somehow oO)
Hopes for the future:
-Well, as of today(February 6th 2023) there are only 2 Maps playable. More Maps are mandatory.
-What i really like are the missions. It's something that really stands out and the possibilities here are huge.
-It seems, they are working on an endless mode for each map which is not available right now.
-There is a simple map on the pause screen, but it's quite simple. Perhaps also give us a minimap with Loot.

Development has ceased on Alien Slayers as the Devs plans didn't work out in a crowded market. So the game will never progress further than it's current point.
Is the game worth it at its current point?
Yes, it is. There's plenty here to get your teeth into at a low price point. Plenty to unlock, the levels and enemies are varied and fun. Plenty of combinations to find and a nice difficulty curve.
There's nothing particularly innovative, but what it does, it does well. I've enjoyed my time with it.

Solid ideas, but not a lot of fun right now. More than two hours in with multiple runs and not much to keep me playing. You never get the satisfaction that you are starting to really take it to the enemy. Biggest issue is weapons, slow and boring. Mortar almost never hits anything. Upgrades during a run are weak and have almost no noticeable effect and low drop rates for XP don't help. Oh boy, a 5% improvement in critical hit chance. Now 5 additional shots before you reload. Or a whopping 20% reduction in reload time for one weapon. Damage improvements are small and don't keep up with enemy hit point scaling. It also looks like it would take many hours of grinding to get enough gold to get meaningful permanent upgrades. The ideas are solid and I think this could be a really good game so I will check back in to see if the developers get things balanced.

Enjoying this game quite a bit. It’s challenging but fair. My runs seem to always come to a screeching halt rather than death by a thousand cuts. Permanent progress is on the slow side, but that’s not really a negative. Combat drones are a nice addition to the game and help give you some breathing room. Check out the demo. It gives you a good feel for what the game has to offer. Works great with a controller too. Looking forward to what the developers have in store for this game.
Update (12 hours in):
The more I dig into this game, the more impressed I am. More people should be talking about this one. The game starts off a little slow. What I mean is, permanent upgrades are there, but the gold to purchase them takes quite a while to build up. But if you stick with it, things will start to unlock. I’m still having more runs end in the blink of an eye than I’d like, so maybe there are some balancing issues still being worked out (or, more likely I’m not the best player). It's definitely a challenging but ultimately rewarding experience.
The developer is responsive and actively seeking feedback to make this game the best it can be. This is something I really appreciate. I wish them the best.
