Mega Man X DIVE Offline, maybe not what the fan base necessarily wanted as a new entry into the series (much have preferred a MMX9 but oh well), but is a fun and nostalgic play through.
Pros: Game controls and plays very well, it’s classic 2D MMX with the options to pick and choose a plethora of classic MMX characters such as Zero, Vile, and Sigma, but also some classic MM characters too such as OG Mega Man, Protoman, Mega Man.EXE, as well as dozens of other characters each with their own unique weapons and abilities that can be used and experiment with throughout the games many stages or challenge modes!
Gameplay is much more player friendly than its original gocha designed release with ZERO MICROTRANSACTIONS, meaning everything you can buy in the shop is easily earned by playing the game’s story normally or by playing through the many different challenge modes that were originally released before this definitive edition of the game, so unless you want to 100% the game and acquire all characters, weapons, costumes, etc.., grinding is not that much of a mandatory task until later on in the game when it ramps up some in the difficulty.
All levels are mainly classic MMX and other Mega Man series stages that are a nice trip to dash and fight enemies through while listening to classic and new music. Much of the MMX series is represented well and is peppered with a healthy amount of other classic MM stages and music to keep things interesting and fun for long time fans and newcomers alike!
CONS: Firstly, the story and translation is not the best, as in it has the translation quality of X6 from back in the day, meaning there’s quite a bit of typos, awkward sentence structures, and general confusion as to what the characters are saying when playing through the stages, which in your first time through can be a bit bothersome and break the flow of the game.
Plot itself has a very interesting concept and premise, but due to the translation quality, it can be bugged down some and a bit annoying having to read the text messages pop up from time to time, although it is kinda cool to see the different characters and enemies of the Mega Man series from the past up to now interact with one another in a story revolving around correcting Corrupted MMX game data and memories.
Since it was based around a more mobile gocha gameplay style, the way the game progresses and plays out can be a bit repetitive and a slog as some stages can go on forever while others are very quick and easy to complete, as well as having the ability to auto aim and fire your weapons without much precision can feel a bit brain dead at times when playing for longer periods of time.
OVERALL: While Mega Man X DIVE Offline is far from a perfect game, it is a fun playthrough for any fans of the Mega Man series that grew up and played the X series like me on SNES as well as the other series of Mega Man, from fan service to patching up some of the worst elements of those gocha titles from its previous iteration, it’s simple premise and design was a fun time playing through the classic stages like I was a kid again back in the 90’s. Worth picking up for sure on sale for $10 or so, a bit much for $30 it’s currently going for at the time of this review.
Sorry for rambling on, I hope I was able to convey my thoughts on this game as while not perfect by any means, I did enjoy it for its fast paced gameplay and progression as a life long fan of the series! ^_^

1) You shouldn't make a 3D game if you wouldn't make a 3D model. MOvements are ugly and clunky.
2) I swear to God if that girl comes again to interrupt my ACTION-PLATAFORM-FAST-PACED-GAME with some useless warning or hint again, I'll punch my monitor.

Love the idea of turning a dead gacha game into a full game where you can unlock things, however the game isnt dead without reason, it is really, really bad.

I got surprisingly invested in the story of this game. I hear almost nobody talk about the story and I don't know why. I view it as one of the best parts of the game even despite the bad translation.
Oh yeah, the game is really fun! Definitely play it! Just be sure to look up some guides every once in a while.

i played this when when it was first a thing as a mobile game. i am pretty satisfied with this offline version, characters are easily gotten as long as one progresses through the story mode, seems like all the events are available at all times. some characters are not around but nothing some mods won't fix.
no gatcha system, everything is easily gotten with minimal effort, very much enjoy being able to get everything easily. no multiplayer stages exist sadly.
if you are a long time player of the original mobile game, get this one, just wait time it is on one of of them capcom sales.

If you have rose-tinted nostalgia glasses for Mega Man X Dive, this game will be a breath of fresh air. It's a shame the PvP is gone, but the core game is there. Complete with it's bad english translations too!

This game is essentially Mega Man fan fiction.
The story is pretty subpar early on, but the real draw is getting to play as so many different fan favorite characters over all of the Mega Man games. The stage design gets better as you play further, and eventually the Challenge Modes wind up being the most fun since you can't just vaporize them by overleveling.
Highly recommend figuring mods out, because they can speed up progression and introduce collab content that wasn't carried over by Capcom (for legitimate licensing reasons) as well as add entirely new characters, weapons, and options.
