Hello! The mean one is terrible! You meet him very early! The king is nice! I like him! I like the girl you play as! She is very strong, and knows how to fight! You don't see that very often. She is also quite smart, She can catch onto plot points or intuition(?) like a real woman! It's good! I recommend this game for people who like romance!

Yes I would recommend. Love the art work, lots of route with many endings. The big negative is that the English translation is not the greatest, still understandable but it needs a patch to have all the wordings fixed in many parts of the stories. It is lore heavy and has a lot of unlockable extras that I love. The story is a bit dark with mental and physical trauma in a dystopian romance which might be a trigger warning for some players. I've completed 3 route so far and still love the story and happy endings are great.

So happy to have played this! I remember hearing about this otome probably around 10 years ago, but sadly i don't understand japanese so i had to be content with just reading some reviews that explain how the game goes. And despite 'certain' content being removed it is still enjoyable. >.< I felt my heart beating so much while playing. It's like i'm a teenager again. I played all the routes and i found them all very interesting! I think my favorite was Esta! I loved the devotion he had to Naala. Ruzi, Aran and Cef i also really liked. It's a bit interesting how the side routes was the ones that really shined for me :)

You have to play through bad endings to unlock the characters which is a no go for me (I only play happy endings). So I only played through one and a half routes, but if you like sad stories and bad endings then you would probably enjoy this game (it's just not for me).

I love this game!! I bought both Nintendo Switch version and PC steam version. The story's very great!! Dramatic and Romance stories. And wonderful voice actors that make your heart skips a beat. (Suren's voice is very sexy) Actually I've known this game for a long time that it's from the R18 game in original. But I cannot play the original game because it's all in Japanese. I want more DLC of this game, especially R18 patch is really need. You should release the R18 original version in English, too. I'll be the first one who buy it!!!
Review update:
Steam Achievements have been added! Side Note: The crimson flower that divides: Lunar coupling is a port version of a "remaster", which landed on the Switch not so long ago. The original game released for PC was more explicit and this version has been censored in more ways than one. It's really sad that the original content which made this game popular has been removed altogether. Instead of letting us, players, be able to choose if we want it to be patched with the +18 content or not as an option... Since that makes some of the scenes feel a bit off or like something is amiss...
WARNINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:

Forced proximity
Kidnapping / forced marriage
Mental and physical abuse could often be (more) than implied depending on the routes you are navigating through
Depictions of death, mental instability and drug abuse

Tomorrow is a hope. Never a promise…
The root has almost taken over the entire world, a disease that suddenly appeared turning the insides of women into a putrid state until there's nothing left... The population is fast decreasing. In a desperate need to hold the numbers, some kingdoms are forced to take action, and not in the best of ways... Since no cure has been developed to appease such an affliction. Maybe the cure lies nearer than everyone thought. Only for those who truly seek it and are willing to see beyond the surface and hear the opinions of those who are labeled far below from being mere tools within this world. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3151868052 Kidnapped from her country, the protagonist takes the role of the sole protector of all the women who, alongside her, were forced into a kingdom far from their own. She is a strong-willed woman, who will never back down from her beliefs no matter what's thrown into her path. And that makes her so charming and likable! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3151867721 Seeking a way to return safely to the land once called her home, she internally swears her oath to go back alive, alongside her female companions, whatever means necessary for that accomplishment.
Overall Thoughts:
This game is quite dark, as you probably have guessed by now. The plot is mostly consistent, aside from what I’ve already commented on this version being a censored one in contrast to the original. But overall, that doesn’t turn this journey out to be a bad one. At least not in its entirety. Depending on the route you are on, you can feel more hope for the MC’s future than in others, aside from the dooming choices you may decide on, along the path you are navigating her through… That doesn’t mean a HEA (Happily ever after) is not obtainable for each one of the suitors of your liking, even if those endings are quite elusive for us to lay our hands on them. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3151867776 🌸There are plenty of endings to unlock, 26 in total!🌸 Also, side stories that will unlock while completing the aforementioned routes (Events, in the main menu) The story is well written, the characters have all their unique and intriguing personalities. They’re fully voiced, and the actors were quite good at it. Some of them may even ring a bell once you hear them talking. With each route you complete, more secrets regarding the kingdom the MC was forcefully taken to will be unraveled. Catching a trail of the political intrigues perspiring within the walls of the capital will also bring light to parts of the plot that could even reach to the lengths of the mystery enveloping the fearsome illness called the root. The art and music department is also quite good, even though it is quite different from what we are used to nowadays. Whilst I recommend this game, I advise waiting for a nice discount on it, if you are truly interested. Yeah, I've already played this game before it landed on Steam! (up to 43h on the Switch version!) so consider my advice ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )
Walkthrough
Some of the routes are only accessible through the main ones, making them shorter in comparison. Even so, this game will provide you with plenty of hours of gaming. I truly yearned for some of the "side routes'' to be standalone… If you need any help navigating through all the obtainable endings within this game, I will leave here the guide I’ve posted! Main Routes:

Touya
Suren
Nohl
Branch Routes:

Naran
Ruzi
Cef
Esta🖤
Jigi
Uru: Non romanceable character (OBVIOUSLY!), but still the cutest!

Recommended order: Suren ➸ Naran ➸ Nohl ➸ Cef (I don't like this guy)➸ Esta ➸ Jigi ➸ Touya ➸ Uru ➸ Ruzi

Trust Witchy wanted to create some mischief here, leaving a trace in the shape of a review!
