Its like the old settlers (1 +2). Still a EA but already really playable.

Great fun! I haven't gamed in years, and after a recent stint playing Command and Conquer again, I had the urge to play Settlers. Saw this and I'm very happy I went this way!

I've played the old settler games and this one is really a worthy successor. Works (minor graphical glitches with the menu fonts aside) well with Proton 9.

Very close to the original settlers feeling; quite a few new interpretation. Very enjoyable.

I don't have a ton of time in this game, but I enjoyed what time I do have. I never played The Settlers, so this was my first experience with this particular model of city builder. I love the graphics and animation. So many little things going on! The buildings and landscapes all look great, and the fun little character animations are excellent. That said, you do end up having to pay quite a bit of attention at times. You really need to watch your logistics here, which isn't really super clear until you've completed the tutorial mission and maybe a game or two. Then it starts to click that you need to think forward regarding where resources are needed and where people will be needed. Everything is hand carried in this game, so if you wind up making the travel too long, it will take you forever to get certain things finished and you lose all that time while the characters are walking to and fro. There are all kinds of directions you can go with this, but in general you will be harvesting wood and stone, exploring the map, finding better wood and ore, building out food supplies, building up guard forces and continuing to expand. But there's so many ways to go about that, so it is quite fun. I'm really a fan of the cartoonish style here, and that is a huge part of my draw to the game. I'll be playing more of this one.

Very nice, a great game for fans of the early versions of Settlers (Settlers 2, 10th Anniversary edition was my favourite) So far I've only played the tutorial level , in a March 2025 'early access' version. The tutorial is excellent at taking you through all of the basics; it 'greys out' a huge amount of content early on , making more options available as you complete the tasks. At this level there's not much fighting, and the easy pace allows you to take your time over your decisions. I hope the full release is successful when it finally appears (it's been a long wait already).

I’ve played for about 40 hours, and honestly, the game isn’t very good. It’s technically playable, but often frustrating. The design is poor—most buildings look nearly identical, making it hard to tell them apart. You end up needing to build in clustered patterns just to remember where is what. But space is limited, and the rest of the map is too hilly and not possible to flatten out, so you can’t really make clean, efficient layouts. Everything ends up scattered and messy. Carriers frequently get stuck, causing traffic jams and total gridlock—especially when you’re trying to build warehouses or near the ship. Enemy balance is another major issue. The map is filled with blobs of enemies and constant raiding parties that disrupt your economy. You can’t effectively defend yourself early on because the starting units are useless (2 damage vs. enemies doing 15), and stronger units require long, complicated supply chains. On top of that, you have to train a different high-level soldier unit for each enemy type, which adds more to the grind. Eventually, the game slows to a crawl, and you’re just hitting the fast-forward button to get through the tedium—which is never a good sign in any game. It falls into that classic early-access trap: new features keep getting added, but core systems remain shallow and unpolished. There’s potential, and the devs are making some progress, but overall, it’s a big disappointment right now. Maybe it’ll be worth revisiting in a few years.
