Air Conflicts: Pacific is a remarkable game that defies categorization as a traditional flight simulator; instead, it strikes a balance between simulation and arcade elements. The campaign is engaging, and the gameplay is enjoyable. One of the standout features is the ability to Control a full squadron and to load planes and launch from carriers, as well as land on them. Furthermore, players are tasked with various responsibilities beyond flying, including using binoculars to identify abnormalities and locate Japanese fleets. The game successfully places the player in the role of an aircraft carrier captain in the Pacific. Despite being an older game that may have gone unnoticed, it remains a delightful experience, and I hope to see future adaptations, possibly exploring the Guanal Canal or the Marianas turkey shoot. I strongly recommend this game, which, although not a traditional flight simulator, offers a unique blend of arcade and simulation elements, allowing players to adjust the level of realism and tailor their experience.
