Call of Duty: Black Ops - Mac Edition Reviews

First off, this game has a really good storyline and I'm excited to see how it is expanded on in the new Black Ops Cold War. My only complaint is that AI on Veteran don't act like human players at all, they track you like they can see you through walls because they can, and some parts of it are just downright impossible and take hours to get passed, so everything else is good in this game, good zombies, good multiplayer.

One of the best Mac FPS's for single player and multiplayer in its day. Keep in mind this was released over 3 years ago. IF you buy it new the multiplayer community is pretty small, but you can always find games on Nuketown or TDM. Other notes: You can play with other Mac users only. No cross-play with PC users. BUT you can play with Mac App Store users which is pretty neat. You can make your own servers. Mods don't seem to work, but the game is a blast.

Don't do it. It's just not worth it. You will play the game and have fun, and then it will crash after you die, over... and over... and over again. You'll reload the game and sit through all the cutscenes only to die again and have it freeze at a white screen. It will happen again, and again, and again, and then you'll come here and write an angry review of the game.

ok, i never liked black ops but i have to say the campaign is GREAT, i can see why zombies is so addictive and fun because it it. multiplayer, myaaaaa i donno hat to say really i mean it's not great nor is it awful. a few problems is tht this version is only for mac, you can only play with mac players, this does however included people who bought it from the apple app store, aspyer etc. but I've noticed a large number of people decided to just get it off U-torrent. over all for what it costs i dnno. i mean it's alright i suppose and it's cheaper than the pc version but the rpice is still quite bad, if a sale comes get this game, if not well then it's a risk for you to take.

I used to have glitches and it would crash. The game crashed and the screen turned white or black and never returned to its normal state. But I kept playing until the game wouldnt crash. It finally worked and now i can play the game nice and smooth without glitches,lag or crashing. Mac version works just very annoying.

All ye Mac peasants! I am one of you who games on mac! Take heed! This game is unkind to those that play zombie mode! Hark! All ye who may have macbooks that can't run this game on medium or low settings, forgo this game, tis a pity to play on weak hardware together with our small breed of gamers of House Apple!

I actually do recommend this game. I really do. The story is great, characters are great, and it is fun! But apple no longer supports apps that aren't 64bit. DO NOT BUY. You won't be able to play. There are some people who use bootstrapper or time machine or have a separate disk on their mac to play this, but it causes performance issues. 64 bit. 32 bit. 16 bit. 8 bit, 4 BIT, 2 BIT, *1 BIT*, *HALF BIT*, *QUARTER BIT*.... *THE WRIST GAAAAAAME!!!!!!!*

Mac players beware, disappointingly this game still crashes. Tested on MacOS Mojave in a MacBook Pro 17 (touch bar). Found the same issues as in https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/2/490123197957126839/ . There’s a bug that will crash the game at random intervals during single player. Second, another bug will cause the game to freeze on a black screen after dying in the single player campaign.

If you came for campain and playing some private match with friends on zombies and multiplayer then its still pretty good for that but most servers are dead with little to few people on multiplayer and zombies servers. As far as I've seen have no-one on them ( as of 12 August 2017).

Would not recommend for zombies, the servers are terrible, hardly anyone plays and i bought the black ops dlc bundle and shangri la is missing. I have reinstalled and everything and it still won't appear, wasted £30. I would have been better of buying all dlc on ps3 sure it would cost more but at least more people play it and the servers are much better. If you want this game for campaign and multiplayer than you might like it, but for zombies its just terrible.
