While I'm not typically into shoot 'em ups, I must admit that "Escape: Space" is well crafted and addictive. The visuals and sounds are pretty good. What truly hooks me is the impact of choices on factional relationships and the engaging overheating system. The game effectively balances risk and reward, making decisions pivotal. I'm looking forward to more mission variety and challenging plot twists upon full release. The creator's dedication to updates is promising, and I anticipate more exciting content ahead.

This game is so much fun. It reminds me of older arcade shooters like galaga and zaxxon, but with a nice modern spin. Props to the developer for putting together such a fun game.

Tons of unlocks and upgrades. Having a lot of fun with it. I've played for about 3 hours and I feel like I just scratched the surface. If you like space shooter games, this game is for you.

By happenstance, I had been thinking about a game like this before I found Escape: Space. A roguelite shmup that I could grind and upgrade sounded like a neat concept. Lo and behold, this game pops up in my discovery feed. Decided to give it a chance and I've been quite surprised by the balance and depth of it. I love the idea of being a mercenary between three warring factions and how your decisions, successes, and failures shape the game down the road. Game play-wise, it's very fast and fluid. The retro pixel art looks good most of the time (some ships, especially one of the escorts, look like Lego Duplo). Certainly will run on the Mos potato of computers, and I can confirm it's well-suited for the Steam Deck and ROG Ally. Still runs great on lower power settings, letting you play on the go longer, so bonus. Overall, a cool game that has that 'just one more round' vibe that'll keep you busy for hours. I recommend it for shooter fans and people that enjoy messing around with load outs, you won't be disappointed.

This is a fun lil bullet hell game that takes me back to the days of R-Type, one of my favorite game series as a kid. It is still in early access and getting more features added all the time and the dev takes your feedback into account for improving it. definitely looking forward to more new features and fun to be had.

Really fun!!. I have been a fan of the old school classics, like Xenon 2, Swiv, R-type, and this has captured that essence and turned it into a really enjoyable game. The overheating system , took me a while to get used to , but it really is a good discipline to try and maintain the strong fire power. Fully recommended, Nice going

I'm not a shoot'em up player but I really enjoyed this game, it's well crafted, the visuals and effects are great, the gameplay is smooth. Lot of different missions (it's for me the more interesting part>variations), customizations, events, powers/weapons to play with and test! I like the twist that we fight for and against 3 different factions, you can pick one you like or just go rogue and just play with the faction that pay the more but it will have consequences which is cool! I'm at the beginning but I can feel a very good potential and didn't encounter any bug during my first session (which is kinda rare for EA games)! +1

Downloaded the game and play for 4 hours straight, damn! It is NOT a broken early access with just 10min of gameplay, it just felt like playing a finished game! Really nice farming shoot-em-up, different enemies to learn the pattern and every weapon I tested feels different. It's not just a reskin, you actually have to play differently! Bonus point for the overheat management, I'm really excited to see the new content the dev will add! The foundation of the game is really solid

I've gotta say, this shoot 'em up is an absolute gem, and it's quickly become one of my favorite indie developed games. - The risk versus reward gameplay mechanics add depth and excitement. - lots of variety in enemies and weapons - sense of progression with all of the upgrades available to the player. - huge variety in missions. - The pixel art, and UI are very well done The game itself is amazing but I also appreciate how much the developer is willing to listen to feedback and update the game appropriately. You can tell they definitely care. This game already shows so much potential, even as an early access game.

Played the demo and now the Early Access, It's a lot of fun! You play as a mercenary, working for different factions in space. You can take contracts from any of these factions, and completing these contracts will affect your reputation with other factions. There's also story mode missions that will pop up now and then between contracts. The game lets you customize your ship with different upgrades, mods and weapons. It has different types of missions, each with their own kind of difficulty. The pixel art is pretty good and overall the game is super polished for an Early Access Game. 100% recomended.
