The remaining 3, Hisaki, Ruka and Madoka, escaped and then they decided to go back to find the clues and memories of that time...[/spoiler]. - I’m a hardcore fan of the Fatal Frame series, and I’m very familiar with its style of storytelling. You really need to read the documents carefully to grasp the plot. I know that most gamers usually prefer story explanations through dialogue rather than reading documents, and this is also the main reason why this game isn’t highly rated and has a more niche player base.
