Perseus mandate is a bit better than extraction point. No meaningful new weapons but a new mini boss enemy whose damage sponginess is bullshit but also a welcome difficulty spike. No improvements or regression to the formula are made, and level design continues to be very serviceable. The plot is similar to the base game but we’re not the same character anymore, so the context doesn’t make sense, and all of the mystery is gone. The story isn’t so much worse than the base game or extraction point, but it’s mostly treading already worn ground.
