I do like management games, however found this one quite difficult to manage. It won't be one I play again personally. The needed levels to keep going and different areas to sell and restrictions each place has. Plus factoring in how far you could even travel. It was a bit too complicated and with older looking style game it didn't feel worth it to keep trying.

游戏挺有意思,就是太肝太累。询价系统太麻烦了,太多地名,看的脑壳疼,不如直接在地图上显示出来。另外,住宅的容量太小,限制结婚生育。难道只有家主才有房事和生育权吗?

Good little game with a great aesthetic sense. UI/translation could still use a little work (some text is cut off in some UI elements, etc), but it's quite playable and maintained by an active dev, having just received a large update. Personally, I've been wanting more games like this (lifesim/economic sim), and it helps to fill a void.
Plays fine under Proton, so far.

Looks super cute, yet is as serious, deep, and strategic as the best management games. You will have to analyse profitable trade routes, invest your profits intelligently, handle your employees, AND start a family AND maintain your family over generations!
It's one bit Anno, one bit Patrician, another bit Civilization, and then a last bit Crusader Kings. And it's all cute!
The developer deserves to be proud of what they've achieved with east trade tycoon.

This is a fun little game with a certain number of cool and adequate mechanics, chief of which is getting pregananant. I spent about 15 hours on my playthrough, which was enough to get all achievements without using any exploits or abusing any particular feature.
This game will obviously not be enough for people who only enjoy complex trading games but it has some value to it. Most mechanics are well thought and balanced, and all of them are necessary to grow, though getting pregonant is usually the best way to grow.
The translation is dreadful, but the game is fully playable. You will learn some chinese toponymy and get pragonate.
A huge downside is that the game is fairly repetitive once you "advance" to town merchant. The game is simple a matter of tier advancements from village to town merchant, then to city merchant, then to county merchant, then state and empire. All tiers behave in the same exact way and include the same rewards. This can get very old very fast, unlike being pregrant, which is always an excelent way to grow.
Unless you are a person that likes it when green numbers get bigger, like me, you might drop the game because of it. Otherwise, you may enjoy the fact you can get pragrent fairly easily.

If this type of game/genre interests you, I'd recommend it. Especially given the price.
While, to me, its a bit slow in regards to both map movement and family progression, I can at least chalk the later to me still trying to figure out what strategies work best. That said, its not overly complicated and there are just enough systems to keep me interested in wanting to comeback and play.
If I had to quickly sum up this game, I'd say "You build up money to spend money on making future money faster."
The translation is fine and I've run into a few UI issues that could be fixed with some QoL patches but, overall, it's been a fun game.

I have, no joke, regularly lost time while playing this game. The art style is cute, the gameplay loop is really fun, and I really like the family mechanics!
This is not a fully polished experience - some bits are untranslated, there are some bugs, but nothing really game-breaking.
Some tips for new players:
1) You can sell everywhere, even if you don't have a business license! You can also get tasks without getting a business license, but it's only for the current level of merchant.
2) You have to double click on a destination to move. 1 click only shows you how many days away it is.
3) The abdication button is in the "Bedroom" menu in your house in your base village/city/etc. It's the red button on the bottom right. This lets you transfer the "family head" position to a family member of your choosing!
4) Even if you don't use recruited staff, you still have to pay them! They don't earn you any money if idle like your family members do.
5) You can stop in any village/city/etc and change the caravan. I recommend rounding up your current inventory (you can see it in the Goods menu) to the number of donkeys (4 inventory to a donkey). It's easier to change the number of coachmen when changing capacity (1 coachman to a donkey). You will get very good at your 4x tables.
6) A chief firm is any firm with at least 50% market share.
7) If you're waiting for your firms to level up, then grind tasks as much as possible - the fame and money are really helpful
8) The imperial city is where you get artifact treasures, education for the family head, and a clinic. You can't sell stuff there.
Hope this helps!
