Short and fun. It took a little over 3 hours for me to complete. Happy Game (same developer) is better than Botanicula and has more puzzle elements. A lot of Botanicula is just clicking through the various items until they are eliminated. I only got stuck a couple of times as I didn't realize I could grab a certain item or needed to click something twice. Otherwise most puzzles are fairly basic and intuitive.
Got it on sale. Had fun for a couple of hours. Recommended at the discount price.

Game makes its way into your heart from the start.
Used to play this game as a kid on my mom's pc, played it again now (years later) and it's just as warm and fun as I remembered it.
It takes a bit to understand the mechanics but once you get the hang out of it you'll be devoured by Botanicula's world and its fascintating personalities and stories.

A good game. As I have said with similar ones, I was just unable to love this one.
I came here after playing Machinarium and Samorost, and I was expecting a similar game. Botanicula is a similar game, but... different enough for me to not love it.
I can recommend it because I see that the game is polished, entertaining and challenging. I can see its value even when I was unable to love it.

A truly beautiful and wonderfully unique game I played it in one sitting. It had this ability to tell a story with vibrant visuals and sounds that was breathtaking. U could immediately tell what was bad in the game by the discordant Erie tone that played at the introduction of Evil. Now I’m gonna eye up the other games by Amantia Design.

Botanicula is yet another interesting point n click from Amanita Design, behind Samorost and Machinarium.
Following a group of 5 different bugs and creatures from the forest, they band together to stop what seems to be the evil. Big spiders? Not sure, but it's bad and it must be stopped. Separated into 5 different levels (and a 6th final level), there is a big variation in what the world looks like with various creatures to meet and puzzles to solve. Much like the dev's previous games, you move around a lot only to come back later to an area you already had been in to progress - either because you needed to active or collect something.
Once again, this game offers a unique art design and a fitting soundtrack. It is obvious at this point that this and its voice-less storytelling are the strongest parts in the games from Amanita. I can definitely recommend this game if you want to play more of the catalogue that the studio has to offer!
