I remember this game to be way too better than it actually is. Sadly it is quite meh.

The soundtrack is very fun, and the little guys are fun/disturbing/cute. I love the ambiance and challenging puzzles!

Botanicula is a neat point and click basically wordless adventure game with a unique style. You control a host of characters with different abilities as you navigate a world of weird plant insect hybrids that has been infested by something dark and foreboding. The game is serviceable, but it's rather heavily focused on showing off the extremes of the world rather than delivering a grounded path that makes sense from point to point.
I definitely preferred my time with Machinarium, so I suggest that as a better starting point for the generally cool Amanita Design selection of games. That said, if you like the art and the atmosphere of Botanicula, feel free to dive in.

A short and silly story about some little guys. It has great sound design, the puzzles aren't frustrating, and the art style is cute -- it reminds me of Fran Bow in some ways, just more sweet and simple. It goes on sale often and the game itself isn't that long, so I'd wait for a discount.

Replaying after 9 years. While the unique art style is little childish looking, it has good story and clever puzzles.
