Review of 9Days – A Unique Gem That Deserves the Spotlight “You have 9 days before the final fight…” That single line perfectly captures the tension and heart of 9Days. This isn’t just another action RPG. It’s an experience that blends urgency, choice, and raw power in a way that keeps you hooked from the very first moment. From the start, you’re thrown into a world where survival and preparation are everything. The game gives you freedom to explore an open world, gather abilities, and carefully plan how to use your limited time. That constant ticking clock adds a weight to every decision do you chase down new skills, grind for strength, or take a risk exploring uncharted territory? Every choice matters, and that’s what makes 9Days feel so fresh and intense. I first discovered 9Days years ago, watching the dev’s TikTok videos when the game was still in early development. Those clips instantly grabbed my attention the massive charged beams tearing through environments, the raw chaotic destruction, the wild transformations. It looked like nothing else out there, and ever since then I’ve been following the journey closely. Seeing the game grow from those early showcases into what it is now has been incredible, and it honestly feels like being part of something special. The combat is already fantastic. Transforming into different forms and unleashing powerful abilities feels satisfying and cinematic, and it’s clear the developers put love into every animation and detail. But what really blew me away was the sense of scale even with the current build, you can feel the potential for something massive. That’s where my hopes for the future of 9Days come in. It’s already an amazing foundation, but adding more would push it into legendary territory But what’s here already? It’s something special. The atmosphere, the sense of countdown urgency, the open-world exploration, the promise of growth it all comes together to make 9Days a hidden gem that deserves way more attention. This isn’t just a game, it feels like a journey. A race against time. A test of strategy, skill, and creativity. And with each update, you can tell the developers are crafting something that could stand out as truly unique in the indie gaming scene. If you’re on the fence about playing, I can only say this, jump in now. Feel the tension, Experiment with your forms, test your limits, and prepare for the final fight. 9Days already shines brightly and I can’t wait to see it evolve into the masterpiece I know it’s destined to be. My Verdict: 9Days is amazing, and it has the potential to become unforgettable.

30 minutes in and i already noticed that the customization is just... not even there. if im playing a game with a custom character, id like to dictate how he looks at the very start. not to mention that the controller optimization is lack there of in menu and in game.

Great concept, needs an absolute ton of work to not feel so janky and unrefined. However, for $15 it's not unreasonably priced and you can get some enjoyment out of it if you are capable of looking past the very rough edges. Ill try it again in a year or two and see what happens.

Got the game after seeing clips on TikTok. Thought I'd give it a try and now that I have here are my thoughts: It's ALMOST there. It has everything it needs and yet it feels like there's something missing. Granted it's only one guy working on this which is already pretty impressive but that doesn't take away from the fact that it needs a bit more polish. There are A LOT of bugs, some of which even persisting through restarts of the game itself but that's to be expected of an early access game that, again, only ONE guy is working on. However, in terms of recommending this game. I can't say I'd do that just yet. There's a lot of work that still needs to be done before I can start glazing this potential masterpiece. This isn't to say the creator themselves isn't doing enough, on the contrary I see this game getting updates and patches every so often which means effort IS being made to better the player experience. I just hope that given enough time we could see the open world, custom character Dragon Ball game that we've all been waiting for but Bandai-Namco are cowardly to give us. To the creator: Keep pushing. Keep building. I need this game to be good. So desperately I want this game to be good. Realize the vision.
