This game is incredible. Admittedly it is janky and does have some bugs, but for its cost and who developed it, this is a masterpiece.

TL:DR, This game is an interesting case. On one hand, it can genuinely be fun power fantasy with some cool moments. On the other hand, it's a janky and disjointed mess riddled with feature creep that seemingly wants to waste your time whenever it can. I also suspect that a lot of the voices in this are A.I.
I played this game shortly after it was able to be bought on steam, the quests were buggy, and there wasn't much content past the main story, but it had some moments that were fun. I figured I would wait to see what comes in later updates.
I've now recently played it again, fresh character and a lot of updates later, it's certainly been updated. I don't know the development process behind this game, I don't know anything about the developer, but I can assume that this is one of the first games that they've made. I'm happy that they continue to work on it, but I have concerns for the future. A lot of this game feels like it was made at whim and without a lot of consideration for how it fits into the game as a whole. When you unlock flight, which is right near the beginning of the game, you can basically start any quest, including mid to late game quests. The pacing feels all over the place. Perhaps this is a consequence of the way I played the game, which I'm sure I didn't follow the intended route, unintentionally, the game just lets you do stuff in whatever order you want, but for one hour it can feel like you're doing a lot, then the next hour is flying around talking to people to complete one quest line. Which brings me into my biggest problem with the game from a gameplay perspective: This game loves to waste your time. You can fly in the game so I understand why things are spaced out, but a lot of quest steps will be: talk to x person in y place, then talk to z person in b place, and et cetera. Those different places are spaced out by 2-3 minutes of flying and sometimes several loading screens that take 10-15 seconds each. It's fetch quests but you're not even bringing anything to anyone. It also doesn't help that when you do get to the content, there's a good chance that you don't need to turn your brain on to complete it. In my playthrough, I got skills pretty quickly that allowed me to easily defeat threats without much thought. Perhaps the way I ended up playing the game isn't the intended way, but it's a way and it resulted in an experience that was meh at best and frustratingly terrible at worst.
Now some less major gripes I have:
The items: Another way the games wastes time. Why is the best way to earn items, as far as I could tell, a random chance treasure chest that gives you duplicates with little benefit. A shop would be amazing for non quest item/location specific items.
The story: I'm not going to harp on the story too much as I have no idea what the experience level is of the people/person writing it. It has a lot of rough edges. Dialogue is corny and awkward. The story does serve its purpose well enough though.
Skills: I mentioned this in the block of text earlier, but some skills can invalidate a lot of the threats in this game. Flurry of blows can stun most enemies, including bosses. I do appreciate that powering up is how you heal, but it makes blocking not important at all, I can just heal through the damage. Also, I think it's a bug that you can charge energy and dodge at the same time.
Fights: While some skills can invalidate fights, there are some enemies that seemingly are made to waste time. A lot of bosses will have attacks where they're made immune to damage. Which is fine, if they didn't use those moves all the time (ATOM).
Quests: Some of the quests bug out after completing them and they basically restart. I had this happen with two quests, they weren't super big or important quest so it wasn't an issue, but it did block some dialogue from happening until I redid those quests.
Hopefully that review was coherent.

If you are checking the reviews and debating whether you should buy this game or not, BUY IT. I first heard about this game on tiktok of all places and i didn't have high hopes for the game. However, when it was released and i bought it, pleasantly surprised doesn't even come close to what i felt. I was amazed that this developer was able to pull off a superhero game like this. Of course he wasn't going to be able to use the Superman name for obvious reasons but he gave use everything that we could possibly want in a superhero game of this magnitude. There are parts that are corny or janky, but those are very minor in the grand scope of the game. It is fun and that is all i care about. A big congrats to the developer because you have created something that many people have wanted for such a long time. You truly deserve success, and i REALLY hope that you are making the money that you deserve to make. My hats off to the dev....damn good job!

Is it perfect? Absolutely not. Is it rough? Absolutely. But does the dev seem to care deeply about this and is always actively working to make it better? Yes. I wouldnt recommend this game if you are looking for a polished experience, but if you are looking for a EA game with a seemingly caring dev to watch the game go through its phases and improve over time, at $15 yea its probably worth.
