This little gem of a game offers a massive value for your dollar as well as a big time challenge as well. I absolutely love this one and in my opinion it's easily worth $5 to $8. To get this for $2 USD is a Steal! Just buy it, play it, and thank me later!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.. especially if you like challenging games and games like Binding of Isaac or Enter the Gungeon. Very similar types of gameplay here with a great value price! My First Impressions Score: 9.4 out of 10.
⭐️⚡️ My pleasant experience with Project Romboid ⚡️⭐️
What can I say about Project Romboid? It is a caress to the soul, a breath of fresh air in the hot desert of current video games. From the moment I started playing, I knew I was in for something special, something that would transport me to a world full of excitement and challenge. The combination of elements in Project Romboid is a true masterpiece. Being able to choose between three elements in each level and discover the synergies between them kept me constantly on my toes, excited by the possibilities that were opening up before me. Each new combination felt like a treat, and experimenting with different builds became one of the game's greatest joys. 🧩✨
The number of unique enemies that stalk you in Project Romboid is impressive. Each of them presents a different challenge and kept me on my toes. The tension of knowing that at any moment I could find myself facing a horde of enemies ready to fire on me kept me on my toes, but also gave me a sense of satisfaction every time I got through a difficult encounter. The bosses in Project Romboid are just epic. Facing them is like plunging into a battle of colossal proportions. Their towering designs and devastating attacks kept me on the edge of my seat, my heart beating rapidly. Each boss victory was an unmatched feeling of triumph, an accomplishment that made me feel powerful and brave.
But what really won me over about Project Romboid was the huge variety of items available. Each game was an opportunity to discover new and exciting tools for my survival. Items allowed me to customize my playstyle and create unique combinations that gave me significant advantages. The excitement of finding a powerful item and the satisfaction of seeing my build improve was an indescribable feeling. The gameplay of Project Romboid is simply addictive. The controls are precise and responsive, allowing me to make quick and precise movements in the midst of chaos. The fluidity of the fighting and the feeling of mastery I got from honing my skills was a rewarding and rewarding experience.
The visual and sound section of Project Romboid also deserves special recognition. Arcade-style graphics are a delight to the eyes, with vibrant colors and smooth animations enhancing the game's fast-paced action. Surround music and sound effects create an immersive atmosphere, fully immersing you in the game world. In short, Project Romboid is much more than just a video game. It is an exciting experience that captivates from the first moment and immerses you in a world full of action, challenge and constant surprises. Its innovative system of elements, the diversity of enemies and bosses, and the immense amount of items make this game a true gem that you cannot stop exploring.
An experience that no other game has given me. From the moment I started playing Project Romboid, I knew I was in for something special, something that transcended the limits of superficial fun. Each game became an emotional journey, filled with challenges that tested my skill and determination. 🏆🔥👹

Needs auto-fire.
As with many such games, what items look like and are named after and their effects having nothing to do with each other.
Overall not fun, sorry.

Solid 15 hours of gameplay until you master the game, and have 100%ed it all.
Overall, the gameplay is very worth it, but some upgrades are just plain crap, so to actually beat the game either requires extreme luck, or a major major skill gap.
The strongest combos is just to have a fast Fire Rate, High Damage, and High Health, or Long Range, Fast Speed, & High Damage. Otherwise every build is almost made to fail. Even after 100% the game I have no idea what it means to "Combine" perks, but the game is still fun to play anyways when you have some dead time.
8.5/10 Very Good & Many Shapes

Some things really irk me whilst playing this.
The amount of absolute garbage power ups with no re-roll ability
The way bullets remain from the previous wave and sometimes spawn you on them when a round ends
Mobs spawning on top of you
No explanation of any of the combos or what they do. "This may combine". Great, what does that mean/do?
World 3, level information in black on a black background, no way to change text colour so you can see less than nothing.
Finally, no controller support.
Overall so many bad choices.
It's cheap for a reason, don't bother

Unfortunately, this game has the potential to be fun, but isn't as of the time of this review. It has a good premise and the start of a good rogue-like, but:
1. Combinations aren't explained. I still have no idea what it means. The fun of a rogue-like is finding the best builds, but I don't even know how some of the basic aspects of the game function.
2. Unlocks aren't explained. Most items aren't unlocked through achievements. The game just occasionally says, "New item unlocked," and again, I still have no idea how they are distributed. Makes any sense of progression unsatisfying if you don't even know about it.
3. Game mechanics in general are explained poorly and read poorly.
4. The usable items are almost always just barely worth it, sometimes they make the gameplay worse. So basically, unless you get lucky, every item can make a run harder instead of easier, or it will just be useless. Even the Gold Items, which would seem to be Legendary or whatever, are really bad most of the time. Basically this game is good if you want to play asteroids. For example, if you get a super rare item that lets you shoot two bullets it doesn't tell you how much it reduces your shooting rate. It marks the stat in red, but you have no idea how much it will be reduced by, and it's a lot. It's another case of an item actually making the gameplay worse, and unfortunately, it's one of many.
5. The small map size makes it really hard to actually dodge stuff later in the game. The hexagonal enemy moves almost at random, so even if you predict the movements and shots of other pieces, it still comes down to luck. And in such a small space, luck is not on your side. Most runs will end early anyways because the items are so bad but if you get lucky with items, then you get killed frustratingly easily by a few random movements.
This game takes all the elements that makes a good rogue-like, but does something critically wrong with all of them. Keep in mind only 50% of players have completed the first floor. so 50% of players seemed to just drop it after that.
