I gave this game a try, however with such a broken economy and unbalanced combat it was not a pleasant experience. The strory was sort of engaging, probably this kept me going.

This game, for both the age and price, has awesome mechanics for both combat and survival. Most of us are playing this modded, I ran about 20 hours vanilla, then changed to LFO (last fallout overhaul). The mod pack turns this into a modern game! I have had consistent issues with the faction wars in the Cordon, even after restarting certain legs of the game, there seems to be an issue where squads from the Cordon cannot take the 'Far Outpost', but if you still have a stalker squad at the depot, they will take it eventually themselves! I did not have issues with this outpost in Vanilla, but was finding it nearly impossible to progress the faction wars after entering the Garbage due to constant attacks/mission requests.

people said its trash, of course not it was a good game on the trilogy it introduce faction war and story before SoC maybe people just to noob to war 24/7 but overall good + SRP + new weapon + new Mechanics not too difficult to learn

Its a great stalker game! not as good as the other 2 games in the og trilogy but still very good.

I have more hours in the console version however I returned to this version, PC version is much better . What can be said about this series, each one is a masterpiece of its own and this one is no exception. Definetely the fastest paced one, shootout around every corner.

It's an enjoyable game and will always be a classic series—definitely, the buggiest and hardest of the three. Still disappointed I got a glitch that made the game impossible to beat at the very end, but enjoyed the whole experience.

Weakest of the OG 3. I recommend playing it at least once, and it really does get better after the swamp.

Bleeding mechanics suck and the ending mission is bad, but what stalker game doesn't have a bad end mission? Take a TON of bandages for the end so you don't get softlocked. The game doesn't deserve the hate it gets. It's a really solid installment that is better than SoC in almost every way, the upgrade system was well done and the guns feel miles better. Pick this up, don't take it too seriously, and enjoy it for what it is - a game old enough to drive.

Amazing story and a thrilling experience. I love the engine and I believe it was too advanced for the time it was launched. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
