The last true Rainbow Six. Lockdown and Vegas were cool but lacked a planning phase.

Game was perfect in 2003. 22 years later I couldn't enjoy it.

If you suck at fps games this game is for u, it has aim assist, weak enemies, and if you die you become a different rainbow soldier

More enjoyable than Vegas 2, slower paced, very enjoyable and can be challenging at first

This was back in a time when tactical shooter actually meant something. This game is old but gold, a wonderful tactical shooter that's unforgiving with a single mistake causing you to drop dead in one shot. The planning goes beyond a single team, you can control another team via the planning menu and assault two areas at once. It rewards patience and critical thinking. This game is already great but with mods the game becomes even better. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a proper tactical shooter and when Rainbow Six was a proper tactical game.

Great game, I did not play this when it was new, just started recently so no nostalgia and I enjoy it. None of this zoomer nonsense of sliding 5 ways double jumping 360 casting abilities, just a fun shooter that takes skill and theres still an online community to play with.

I can appreciate it for what it is for a 2003 game but it's far sub par compared to other old tactical shooters especially SWAT 4. Clunky controls, useless AI teammates with the classic 2003 era aimbot enemies AIs and the open nature of alot of maps doesn't help with that problem either. It's better to keep your rose tainted glasses on for this game rather than playing it again just for the nostalgia only to be dissapointed.

Despite being very old by now, can't remember playing a better tactical shooter. The game has it's problems, though, typical for the era, as dumb AI for your squad (being massacred at chock points or while walking backwards, or just getting stuck) and your enemies (if someone sees you he runs for the alarm, but you can shoot around without a silencer, throwing grenades - no one will run for the alarm). The bright side of the enemy - the soldiers move and change positions, so if you restart a level , you might no see them where you had them before. That being said, (and maybe because of that) the game is very challenging even on easy - after a few easy missions, you'll get hard, frustrating ones. 7/10
