I really REALLY wanted to like this game. I loved Steins Gate and I heard the other games in the series require playing the prequels. That said, I had to force myself to finish a single playthough. And I don't think I can make myself play it again to get the true end.
"But so many people love this, why don't you?" Honestly, again I WISH I liked it. But the main character? He is the worst. No really, he is a terrible person. Selfish, cowardly, perverted, and he uses others. I really wanted there to be a redemption arc. Heck it probably exists in the true end somewhere. But looking at another 40 hour playthrough to get there with this jerk is too much for me.

Kozupii is the most annoying and obnoxious creature I've literally ever seen. She will be beaten to death with hammers.

After playing through all of Steins;Gate, I decided to give the rest of the Science Adventure series a try. And man was I dissapointed with this one. I thought it was pretty good for the most part, sure, the protagonist is just plain annoying most of the time, but the story was pretty interesting. I was intrigued, you could say. But then at a certain point, everything just felt like a stupid excuse of a story. It was as if everything I had experienced so far was just pointless. It went from like an 8/10 straight down to 3/10. I really tried to keep playing the game after this, I completed three different endings, but everything still just felt pointless, and by the end of it all, I couldn't deal with how insanely bored and mad I was. I might come back to this game at some point when I've calmed down, but this being part of the same series as Steins;Gate doesn't feel good at all. I really, really hope that Chaos;Child improves on this.

One of the most intriguing, yet disturbing visual novel I have ever read. Probably the only bad thing about it is the main character, which for the most part of the game, is literally human scum.

The true ending is really great and satisfying. I loved Rimi’s and Ayase’s routes the most

I discovered this series after finishing Umineko (a masterpiece btw). Many years ago, I played Chaos;Child. Then, I saw this game on sale, bought it, and didn’t play it until recently. I can truly say that this visual novel exceeded my expectations in both good and bad ways.
What I love about this VN is that the protagonist, Nishijou Takumi, is so pathetic. He’s as flawed as he is human. So if you're looking for a chad, heroic protagonist, you might not enjoy this VN. But if you're ready to experience the story through the eyes of an otaku, NEET, hikikomori, delulu boy—hop in and enjoy the ride.
I love Takumi and some of the heroines, especially Rimi, Sena, and Ayase. Their routes (especially Sena's) are very interesting.
The true ending of this VN is absolutely epic, in my opinion. "Find the blue" playing at the perfect moment gave me goosebumps.
Anyway, if you’re looking for a pseudo-sci-fi VN with mystery and horror elements, this might be exactly what you’re looking for.
I’d give this VN a 9 out of 10.
Overall, this VN is amazing, and I’m looking forward to playing Steins;Gate, Robotics;Notes, and rereading Chaos;Child.
P.S. don't forget to use Committee of Zero patch.

Evangelion if it was actually good.
I hate EVA it's overhyped pretentious BS.
This game is clearly inspired by it, and obviously surpasses it greatly.
This game is very good and Nishjiou Takumi is a very relatable protagonist.
Regarding my playtime, I've played this game on GOG before.

the MC alone made this visual novel very hard to recommend to general audience, but if you're fine with having a piece of human garbage as the MC, or if you're somehow able to relate to the MC, this is one of the most gripping stories that i have ever read. Not that I actually watched a lot of shows/anime / play a lot of story based games / read a lot of visual novels, but this is the first story that made me feel that way.

"Whose eyes are those eyes?"
Install CoZ patch before playing and you're set for a story with one of the most interesting takes on hyperstition, hyperreality as stated by Baudrillardian and schizophrenia, doubting even yourself is a common thing throughout this story as you unveil the mysteries regarding "New Gen Madness" highly recommended.
