i liked takumi from the start

Such an amazing start to the series. Best going in blind if you can. I had to idea what the plot was even about, and finding out at the same time as Taku, the main character, was a lot of fun, I had no idea what to expect. This is the type of story where the amount of questions keep building up before most of them getting answered, and some will only be in the following games apparently.

It's not the best vn I've played, but I liked nanami and sena's routes. The main route wasn't that interesting tho...

The main character is very unbearable, he is basically unrealisticly exaggerated version of typical Otaku/pervert.

I don't like having to repeat the same story over and over again just to get a different ending.

MC from this game make me feel like people with mental illness. Pretty good. Took me a while to get around to reading it, since it can feel pretty slow at times (probably its biggest weakness, pacing). I've read all of the mainline Sci Adv vns now outside of Dash (if you count that) and Occultic Nine (though I've read the lns, waiting on the last one to release). Would rank this below Steins;Gate, probably about tied with Chaos;Child for second best in the series. I liked it quite a bit, just wish the pacing was better, and some of the endings could've used improvement. Sena's route was great and I wish they'd done the rest like that.

I originally watched the anime a few years back after watching steins;gate and playing the game on the ps3. Anime was kind of a let down as it left me sort of confused. I finally got around to playing this game and it was overall a good experience. It was better fleshed out and I was able to see how the ending was meant to go. I know some people hate on the main character for obvious reason and I can admit he had moments of being terrible. Despite that, he still had sort of a charm to me for not being a perfect character and I can appreciate that. I would recommend people to at least give it a shot and see how they like the story.

CHAOS;HEAD is a made or broken by how much you can tolerate or like the protagonist, Takumi. He is to this day the most pathetic MC I have seen in any media depressed, stressed, a coward, a loser, and is at all points on the brink of a mental breakdown. I love him for it, hes very unique as the main POV character and seeing how someone like that thinks about everyone else and himself in his head vs how he actually interacts with other people is fun. The atmosphere of the game is the best I've seen in a VN with music that constantly keeps you on edge along with Takumi's schizophrenic ramblings as he panics over everything. I recommend this to anyone who is fine with an MC thats a worthless pile of garbage, if you can't handle Takumi at his worse, his best really isn't that much of an improvement. takumi is literally me
