Chinese is [default language], to change to English: At [menu] -> Choose [2nd] option -> Look the bottom option, see [English] -> Choose it. You might look down on these (admittedly dated-looking) games if you only play on a normal PC, but on PC handheld (e.g.: Steam Deck), i really appreciate these. Very lightweight graphic that can be play 60 fps at lowest TDP. The game itself is a pure hack-and-slash with a sprinkle of RPG elements, it is NOT a soul-like despite the name, because your dash can cancel animation unlike Soul where you have to commit. Keep making these games, i like this.

This game is so much better than it has any right to be. Don't doubt the trailers, they are spot on. Great artwork, good hack and slash combat. Tons of upgrades, levels, progression, story, enemies. I love games like classic ps2 God of War, Darksiders, Dante's Inferno and the like. Something about a good hack n slash game with new moves, abilities, powers all while telling an engaging enough story. Not every game needs to have a super deep story or super technical combat for me, so long as what is there is engaging. What this game has it just that. The gameplay loop is simple, but engaging. The story is simple, but you want to find out more. Everything works this way and I'm over 3 hours into this game and it is still adding gameplay elements on, unlocking characters, giving me new trees to strengthen my character, unlocking new appearances and sending me to new areas. For the price of this game it is a fantastic package if you like the games I've mentioned above or consider yourself a hack n slash or beat em up fan. If you like Norse mythology and creatures then you are in for even more of a treat.
Story
Nothing outrageously deep but it is all voice acted and you do want to continue to find out what it is going on. There is way more here than in your typical type of game like this. And while they aren't all that deep, there are even decisions you make during the game that change certain outcomes.
Gameplay
Just like you see in the trailers, it is all here. Combos, dodges, timed parries, special moves, quick time events, ultimates, powered up modes, they are all present and there are several upgrade trees to go down.
Sound
It isn't something that will blow you away but it is all for the most part well done. I wish I had more control over how loud the volumes were of certain things rather than high, medium, off, but aside from that everything here is pleasing. The attacks sound really good, and I applaud the developers for having almost the entire game voice acted. Everything I've played so far in over 3 hours has almost entirely had voices present. From in-game voices, to story, side story, and cinematics. Some of the music in the game is really good as well.
Graphics
Once again I applaud the developer for having higher resolutions. This game is like an upscaled PS2 game with some newer gen effects. Nothing that will blow you away but due to level, creative, and art design they all still feel higher than they should. For the price of this game, I definitely think the art direction is very good. Don't go in looking for a bunch of graphical settings you can turn up, but they do have higher resolutions. I look forward to continuing to play this game and complete it, probably several times since there are different characters you can unlock and they have their own moveset. The game is engaging and the combat feels fun. While the levels are really short, they still feel just different enough and some of the boss encounters will either make you power up or really get good at timing. For people like myself that enjoy these types of games and still can enjoy them with less than current gen graphics, I think you'll really enjoy this game. Well done job by the developers and I hope this game gets you enough money that you can make another game like this or a continuation with even a bigger budget and more open levels. The base you have here is so well done and in a year with so many great games that standout like Elden Ring, Spider-man PC, V Rising, and Vampire Survivors, just to name a few, this game is still something that begs me to play it more due to its good gameplay and great gameplay loop with excellent creative art direction.

This game is so aggressively mid. The game takes no skill to play and is just mindlessly mashing your standard combos over and over against bullet sponge bosses. It isn't difficult, just exceedingly tedious. To be fair, I have played for a very brief period of time so it may be better later, but I am not going to continue when there are so many immediately better games out there.

Got the game for 3€ finished it in 12.5 hours with some sidetracking to get gold and a SSS++ weapon. Gameplay is alright, combos are lackluster, then again nothing will ever feel as good as nioh combos/combat. Graphics look dated, main character has a fleshed out skilltree while Esther doesn't so why bother playing her. Some content is limited to 3 times a day with bad quantity craftmats for weapons which will be obsolete by the game you have acquired them. Some content lacks translation, particularly tier 6-7 gems and the last cinematic Camera Angles will be your worst enemy and some enemies which you won't see properly such as the
Dwarf in Helheim
who will get blocked by your charactermodel and then you will experience what blind boxers experience every day. Getting hit in the face and you literally couldn't see what hit you. By the QTE's you can also guess when this game was made. They are part of the gameplayloop and some might consider this tedious. for 3 euros you could do worse and if you enjoyed PS2 God of War you'll probably enjoy this too though you will inevitably find similarities as it's the same myth setting so they did draw from similar sources. Ah ye, Scythe has the best skilltree so make of that what you will :p

Yeah no, pretty fun little game. I kinda hope the devs make a sequel that goes for more of an interconnected world and drops the mission structure since this was originally a mobile game, but the core gameplay is fun!

fun game, not necessarily the best in terms of anything its going for, but just the sheer stakes and ridiculous stuff going on makes it enjoyable

to anyone thinking of purchasing this game, i strongly suggest you don't, this game has so many issues and bugs, and here's the thing that happen to me. i got to a certain point where now i can't even progress any further, i reached chapter 7 stage 6 and when i tried to beat the boss his energy bar just stopped depleting and it didn't matter how many times i hit him he wouldn't lose anymore energy and wouldn't die resulting in me having to quit the stage, and now i can't go any further, and when i tried to request for a refund fucked STEAM denied it so i in future will not be buying anymore games from Steam ever again, so yeah this game is broken and has no support anymore from the developers or future updates , i wish i new this before i purchased this game because if i did i would have never bought the game, so yeah avoid this game at all cost

finally decided to try this game out after seeing it time after time in the souls category. it reminded me of a combination of a bunch of different games. the combat was decently fluid, the overall voice acting and quality of game felt lacking at times but you can't really expect a ton from an indie game at such a low price from lower budget developers either, which is not a bad thing btw. the game does a lot pretty well in terms of enemy types, bosses, the story is OK, and some of the lore that's around. there is definitely inspiration from god of war in nioh in this game in terms of how it unfolds, as well as how damage/action is done. the product is decent, it's not super long and it doesn't overstay its welcome. i'd say it's worth a shot if you're down bad for souls or hardcore action games.

For the price I wasn't expecting much. But Wow this game is a hidden gem. If you don't mind retro looking games then give it a try. The game has no bugs. And it feels like God of War or DMC at times when you going crazy with your combo's. This game is so much fun. I will be following this developer in the future. I could only imagine if they had a bigger budget. This game feels like a love letter to PS2 days of God of War in all the best ways. My only gripe is the camera is fixed. It could have been so much better if we had freedom of the camera. I'm not one for reviews but I had to leave one for this cause I keep coming back to this game every couple days for a couple weeks now. Which I wasn't expecting & is strange because 90 percent of my games are unfinished. Everything but the Souls games. IMO this is a 8 out of 10 just for how fun the combat is. And if the camera wasn't fixed I would have gave it a 10. It's not some triple A title. But a lot of fun for the price.

The game cover is enticing. The overall feel of the game is quite good in terms of combat. The game is relatively simple and easy to play. The background of the game is based on Norse mythology, which reminds me of the game "God of War". The game system is relatively well developed, involving costumes and character growth. Unfortunately, the graphics are a bit retro and I hope they will be touched up a bit. Looking forward to the updates to come.
