Literally the scariest game I've ever played in my life, and I've played countless horror games. So much passion poured into this game.

Great horror game, being a sandbox and unpredictable makes it a lot scarier

I love the way that each encounter becomes its own puzzle — do I make a distraction? Do I run? Do I hide? Do I fight back? And how can I go about my choice? Horror games that give you options to defend yourself are way more frightening (in my opinion) BECAUSE you have actual decisions to make in the heat of the moment, even if being defenseless seems like it would be scarier. I’ve never connected with Outlast or even the other Amnesia games because of this lack of agency, and it’s why games like Alien: Isolation, RE7, and now The Bunker are my favorite first person horror games. You never feel like you’re truly safe, even if (in theory) you can get yourself out of any situation with the tools you have. I really hope Frictional keeps going in this direction

Amnesia The Bunker is like the classic RE4 for me. a rare case where the devs actually implemented fun gameplay in a horror game. 9/10 Currently playing NG+

It fills me with so much joy to see one of survival horror's most legendary studios go back to their roots and recreate that dread and fear their original masterpiece created. Thank you Frictional Games and everyone else involved in this game, it took me all the way back to my teens in the best of ways!

Probably the best horror game I've ever played. Amnesia The Bunker (or A:TB for short) combines atmosphere, environment story telling and sound design perfectly into a game that makes you not only fear the monster, but the scarcity of your resources. Your revolver is not just a tool of self defense, but a tool to destroy padlocks or create explosions, making each shell feel extremely valuable. It is very satisfying to find ways to use the resources you find beyond their immediate purpose making you truly feel like you are surviving and adapting in the hell the player character (Henri) is trapped in. There's tons of content even after you beat the game to enjoy (Harder difficulties, randomizer mode, etc.) to allow players who took the time to learn the game in and out to put their skills to the test. High Recommend, very much so worth the price, please play it if you love horror games in general!
