figured i would give this game a shot since it was on sale. i have a high end gaming system and it runs the CPU and GPU full tilt at 1080p. the came is constantly freezing and has poor control. not even worth the sale price

No reviews and no forums posts (odd) but I took a chance. I cannot recommend this game at this price. * Movement and gunplay is pretty janky * Enemy A.I. is extremely basic. For example, if you step to the side of an open door, enemies won't come through. They'll just stand in front of you on the opposite side of the wall and shoot into the wall * Gameplay loop is extremely basic. You select a destination on the map. Game just zaps you there (no navigation or flying). You go through corridor after identical corridor shooting enemies and solving basic hack puzzles, loot cores, upgrade your suit and shit with cores. Rinse and repeat. * Regardless of your destination, the ship's landing zone surroundings are always the same. You'll see the same wrecked ships in the distance, but they are just window dressing. You'll hit invisible walls before you reach them. It's not all bad. The graphics are pretty decent and the voice acting is passable (nobody expects voice acting in a budget title). The game loop, while repetitive, could be ok given you get upgrades after every mission. Kind of a rogue-like mentality. If someone told me this is a very small team or single dev, it would make a lot of sense :) Not the worst thing I've ever played, but simply not worth the asking price. I'm refunding for now, but I'll keep my eye on this one.

I'll start with the positives: 1. The sound, voice acting and ship design are all very good. 2. The general concept is tried and true. Rogue like, 3rd person shooter, with leveling, gear upgrades and ship improvements. Unfortunately that isn't enough for me to recommend anyone purchase it. The combat is ok, but becomes rather dull after an hour or so of playing. Then negatives: 1. Despite being done on Unreal Engine, which is great, the movement is choppy and the graphics seem dated. 2. The menu is very basic, and lacks any sort of customization (no way to remap keys or mouse controls) 3. Game play is buggy. Several times I got stuck on a "hacking" screen and no matter what keys I hit, I couldn't back away from the terminal. I also found a room that has no exit, and was forced to restart the game. 4. Despite being a futuristic game, the technology is amazingly bad. For example the flashlight you have lasts about 5 minutes (in real time) and then blinks off saying low on energy. Come on guys, get some Energizer batteries for this guy. 5. The BIG one. The developers have signed off on the game and have admitted they will not be doing any updates, so it is what it is. Don't waste your money on this one, unless you just want to be generous and drop them some coin. If they would make the game opensource, allowing others to pick up where they left off, I might be inclined to change my mind. The game had a lot of potential.

I play on a Sager Gaming Laptop. Normally, I can play AAA games on High to Ultra graphic settings dependent upon optimization. My main complaint is that the game freezes, will not relinquish the mouse, locks up my laptop, and I must disconnect the power supply and remove the battery. CTRL-ALT-DEL is not effective as the game is utilizing 60 -75% of the CPU time. It was easier to just completely remove power. Personally, I experienced a lot of wall clipping and control actions were neither smooth or fluid. It may be that my particular laptop configuration is just not compatible with this game. Additionally, I was not able run the Windows 11 compatibility troubleshooter as it gave an error, after three tries I gave up. I think that this game has potential but for me at this moment, it is unplayable.
