Not a bad game, although a bit repetitive. It will be a lot more interesting if we can grind something such as cosmetics, upgrading weapon, pet, etc

Pretty solid Vampire Survivors-like. Fairly addicting. Particularly good for passing time on flights on your Steam Deck. No story, which is just how I like my video games.

creature might be the best potato ever to exist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
honestly i bought this game because it was dirt cheap and didn't expect much of it but damn, i was HOOKED. The gameplay is fast and smooth (when you don't have 300 aliens after you) and it's definitely for you if you love bullet hells. It has so many accessibility options to make the game easier. AND endless replayability! There are so many ways to play many characters, so many builds to try and to see if your build works or you fail at wave 20 miserably.
my only complaint is that, as others mentioned, is the lack of a tutorial. yes, the game is easy to understand and i agree with that but i wish the game itself told me how the mechanics worked/guided me through my first gameplay. BUT you kinda figure it out on your own or with the help of internet by the time passes.
also a great timekiller when i have to wait for something :)

I recommend this game if it's your first step into the rougelike genre, but for me i like it it's just has problems it's way too luck based even for rougelike standards. The wepons and characters just don't really feel all that impactful or interesting to me but thats just my opinion. Most of the time when you die it feels like the games fault not yours instead of learning what i did wrong i just get demoralized because a bunch of damage all stacked at once and instantly killed me, there are so many times where you genuinely have to take damage and end up dying because there was nothing you could do. Many of the stats don't feel like they do anything like life steal it's so weak that it's borderline pointless even with characters built around it. The only real way to get through the higher difficulties is meta builds you just won't get through them experimenting or at least not without a painful and long struggle. This is just my experience i do recommend buying Brotato it's a fine game and you might have a better time.

Not the most elaborate game of its kind, there are lots that are more thoughtful and sophisticated.
BUT the combination of it's simplicity and a very solid core gameplay can make you lose hours upon hours in it, no matter if you like the degenerative McMillen-esque graphics or not.

Awesome game for both children and their dad gamers!
We've got here another bullet hell product and I know exactly what are you thinking: "If you played one of them, you played them all". And you are absolutely right. The game is different to vast majority of known to you similar releases, but if you already had an experience with this genre you can pass on it and move on to something more interesting.
What differs Brotato from the others is how the gameplay is led. Most of his colleagues require action from you only in the first stage of playing, but at some point they change into an idle game since you're so powerful all you have to is go and make yourself a sandwich until the wave is finished. Here you have to be in constant move to stay alive and gather goods.
Brotato has lots of playable characters which majority of them have their buffs and de-buffs. This forces you to different gameplay styles, not focusing solely on getting your favourite set of weapons and carrying on. Developer tried to be unique in this matter, but in fact some of the tatoes don't seem to be challenging at all, even on highest Danger 5. Once you unlock Danger 5 by playing consequently each of them, it becomes available for all your characters.
So the game has six difficulty levels, step by step adding more enemies and more types of them, ending on having three random swarms/elites during a run and double boss at the end. You can see it's a game for kids since "completing the game" doesn't require from you beating it with all characters on danger 5, this can be done on baby-easy danger 0.
Finishing a run with a new character gives you new item/weapon that comes up when rolling between waves or at the start of the run. I like to do my totoes in sequence given, but I know people who play exact tatty just to get a specific starting weapon and make the run easier. From what I've observed, finishing a run with specific weapon adds it onto the start selection screen so you don't have hunt it in game if you want to use it in most of your runs.
The sad thing about the game, most of the time it is all about luck what weapons/items do you roll. I play only Danger 5 to make the game somewhat challenging, but the game is still easy as long as you get the right items. If I can manage half way to wave 10 means I can carry on, but otherwise means my stats and items are too weak to catch up on the run. It happened too many times that I couldn't get decent weapons or items or top up my specific stats because I couldn't roll them. Of course you can increase your Luck, but it's also a matter of luck if you get such an improvement. Well, in the end the game is mainly for children and developers give them this way a feeling like they finally managed to beat the run with their skill, while it was all about what did they roll.
I highly recommend this game for dad gamers, who don't have time for playing, come back late from work and have only like half an hour before go get some rest. It's also good for children who love to experience killing other forms of life and playing fun characters at the same time.

10/10 The best way to describe Brotato would probably to call it an “Auto-Fire-Top-Down-Roguelike-Arena shooter”
On the surface the gameplay is quite similar each game. You look down on your char, try to survive 20 rounds and hope for the rng to be on your site.
Unlike other games of the Genre that I have played, Brotato requires a lot of intuition on what items to choose, there are some general Ideas for builds, but nothing more.
If you do not have any intuition about item choices (like I had) Brotato will teach you.
The small downside of this is, that the game has a steeper learning curve because of this, but it feels so good once you finish a run after figuring a character out.
Other things I really like about the game:
->A LOT of different characters that each require a different approach
->A lot lot of different items
->Beating the game with a Character unlocks a new strong Item
->Being able to upgrade and/or recycle Weapons
->Stackable Item/Stats
->6 difficult levels

Worst. Game. Ever.
You end up playing it for way too long. Every class sucks you in so you feel obligated to try and beat the game with it. Hate it. DO NOT BUY. You'll end up regretting the hundreds of hours you're likely to spend playing this game.
