8/17/2022: Edit:
This game is MUCH better now. Optimization issues are resolved now.
The only BIG remaining issue is that the HTC Vive Controllers need to be pointed down at ~ 45 Degrees so shoot straight. Please fix this issue.
Using Standard HTC Vive and Controllers. This game is VERY Non-Optimized. Unless you have an incredibly beefed up Computer, you will not be able to play this game with any enjoy-ability. Every time I turn my head, the screen goes blank until the graphics catch up with my headset...very Glitchy!
I think this game is several Gigabytes, and it should not need to be that large and bulky. I play Half-Life Alyx, which is much more graphic, and it runs as smooth as melted butter, so do not tell me I need a better computer and graphics card. I have hundreds of VR games that do not have this issue.
I love the concept for this game, and I was excited to play it, but the Dev's need to MUCH better optimize it before releasing something like this in its current state. Unfortunately, my experience is that many Dev's try to optimize, but it seems like it is too late for them to make any significant progress on that task, and the game never gets any better. I hope these Dev's are the exception to that rule.

This is not a good game. However, there's enough here that I can give it a neutral recommendation, especially considering the budget price. I will say though that you should probably buy Crisis VRigade instead (either 1 or 2) as they are both much better than this attempt at a Time Crisis in VR.
This has worse graphics, worse gameplay, & lacks the polish of Crisis VRigade (original released in 2018). cyVeRpunk isn't bad though, it's just not as good as a prior VR title that has been around for years. An attempt was made. If you can't get enough of VR cover shooters, then this may be the game for you.
I bought it and while I wasn't impressed by it, I also think it's better than the average VR shooter, which is a very low standard unfortunately. There's some fun to be had if you can look past all its fault. Plus it's in Early Access and who knows maybe the dev will continue working on it and make it at least somewhat more presentable.
It's running on the Unity Engine. You basically keep behind cover and shoot the baddies as fast as possible. You can get limited time power ups, such as an assault rifle, extra time, money, or more bullets. Don't worry the money is only used to unlock more perks, nothing else. No micro-transactions. I was getting a steady 90 fps. However, the only settings is the height setting & language, and the height setting didn't work.
So here's a list of the issues I found: gun angle was too high by default on the Quest 2, my height was wrong in-game with no way to correct due to the height setting not working , enemies would sometimes make impossible shots through walls,. the laser sight would cause major recoil on the handgun, & yeah it's too dark.
Anyways, I only paid $5.94 USD on sale, so I wasn't expecting much. I got what I paid for, I think.
Rate 5.5/10. Neutral recommendation.
