The Last Medic is a precision platformer with a heavy focus on precision. While there is a good variety of level design and cool secrets to discover, I would not recommend this game due to the artificial difficulty that focuses on frustrating rather than fun gameplay.
Checkpoints are way too sparse and have questionable locations when you do find them. The bouncing platforms are extremely sensitive, as well as my controller input, as I often found myself accidentally diving down which led to lots of deaths. Also, your dashing and jetpack abilities only reset under certain conditions, which make certain sections of the game very demanding and unforgiving.
There’s a good platformer somewhere in this game, but it’s trying way too hard to crank up the difficulty rather than allow you to enjoy the levels and explore.
