I bought this game thinking that I would be decoding a conlang, or maybe even just a constructed script. I saw a clip of the game online, instantly bought it out of a love for fantasy languages, and found myself with a Caesar cypher and caveman speak. Just not my thing, personally. I wish that there was a disclaimer that it's a cypher instead of a conlang.
Peak
Absolutely beautiful, right from the start down to the (repeated) finish. A word of advice though, enjoyment of this game is going to feel a bit like a roller coaster; at first it's going to feel like an amazing novelty, but as you go on it's going to feel a bit tedious trying to figure out what means what, but then as you understand more and more of both words and the story, the enjoyment is going to pick up again, and it'll repeat right until you get to the beautiful endings (which may require several playthroughs to get). (And yeah, I teared up and nearly cried on some of the endings, idc. It's proper good.)

I thought this would be an interesting language puzzle, but it turns out those 7 days are just there to make you care enough that the end makes you ugly cry.

It kinda hurt my brain but it was awesome! Definitely recommend for anyone who likes to sit back and do pattern recognition stuffs. It's not the easiest game, just play with that in mind. Nice to have multiple endings and your word bank doesn't get reset when you play again.

Great game. Started playing at 11 PM and then didn't realize it was already 2 AM. Haven't beaten the game yet but it's really fun piecing the story together yourself.

Honestly very hard game when it comes to the gameplay/solving the puzzle (needed a guide), but unexpectedly beautiful and hard hitting story and especially the endings. Atmosphere/Art - are very heartwarming. That's the best way to explain it. The whole house along with the character are really cozy and give you a feeling like you're really living there, also the pixel art is nice. Music - is nothing special, just a looping soundtrack while you're solving the mystery. The soundtrack that plays with the ending though is very nice. Story - is very short with only a few dialogue lines, but even like that it managed to hit really hard. Probably because you're solving and discovering everything in this story slowly and with hard thinking in the heartwarming atmosphere, you feel much more connected to the characters and their life even with so little talking and actual story development. The ending is very beautiful and impacts really hard imo. Randomly got a short summary/recommendation video of this game, immediately bought it and I didn't get disappointed! 7/10

Very clever puzzle game with a fun premise of having to translate your way through it! The game IS meant to be played several times to understand the full scope of the story since it has different endings. So don't feel too stressed to get all the words the first round (since really, you can't!) The game DOES have some artistic things that decrease its quality. The art is at times a bit wonky, and the bgm loops in a annoying way at times (which drives you insane at times when trying to figure out a word that has been bothering you hahaha) But these things are not at all something I would say takes away majorly from the game Worth the price! If you like point&click puzzle games and sad visual novels its a must-get!

It was an interesting concept to have to decipher the language your self, so I wanted to give it a go. I enjoyed it and I recommend you try it if you are interested. Multiple endings but there doesn't seem to be any way to track which ones you got. Would be nice to see that added. Even if its just via achievements or something.

Only three hours in and it's been so much fun. As a linguistic enthusiast this game scratches my brain in a very good way. If you love solving puzzles, deciphering messages, and making abstract connections paired with a mysterious story, I would highly recommend the game! I'll make an update when I get nearing to "finishing" the game. Update: Roughly 12 hours into the game, and have discovered most of the words meanings. I have to say the biggest source of enjoyment is when you start to begin to understand the dialogue between the characters while looking back and seeing how far you have come. I would love to have the opportunity to try this game out again with a blank slate again!

A very flawed and beautiful game. The entire point of the game is frustration that you can't make sense of basic language. You'll spend the lion's share of the game just trying to fill out your dictionary to give meaning to the dialogue; the game is super short and the dictionary carries over between each play through. It also has an excellent interface that is not nearly as confusing as it sounds it would be. A catch-22 concept, because it's doomed to be too short to stretch it's wings to give all the work put in it's proper payout without forcing superfluous vocabulary. This gives way too many words such limited usage that you'll be mostly guessing, a fact acknowledged and celebrated by the opening of the game. This also means when you've hit your personal bedrock of logic and vocabulary, and inevitably crack open the steam-guides dictionary piggy bank you will find more layers of context to the story; either a pro or a con depending on how you view external information. The story is incredibly simple, and in retrospect there are so few lines of dialogue that I feel tricked by it having such an emotional impact on me, but something about needing to piece it together yourself in the most literal sense made it very impactful. This isn't a game I'll ever be able to play again, but I feel like I'll think about a lot.
