I have played many visual novels, language understanding and logic games but this one really stands out. I played this game with no guidance, and my methodology to fill out my dictionary was completely different to how other people have done theirs. After reaching the end I was unsure if there we're more endings to chase for, or if there is just a general end scene, to which I found out that I had actually gotten the true ending as my first try. It definitely was a case of a little luck as I was still filling in some blanks with assumptions based on context, but it didn't seem off or like they were impossible to get or far-fetched. I actually got quite a large amount of words incorrect in retrospective, but they all conveyed similar enough meanings for the story to feel immersive and charming without the overarching story being different from whats being portrayed.

Started the game because I was curious about the language puzzle thing. Left the game moved by the story.

Wish the interface was a little more intuitive, the game looks nice but the hud is so annoying to navigate, if you like idetifying patterns, this game is for you, but i do think it's a little messy, yet i can't deny how beautiful it looks, it's certaintly a different experience. And i'll always support indie games.

I really enjoyed playing this game at first. I love the concept of translating a language as you play and the mechanic to keep track of the words was great. After playing for a while I got really frustrated because there were times when the words/sentence just didn't make sense in English. Even at the end when I eventually pulled up a guide, some scenes don't make any sense. The game just isn't intended for English speakers and doesn't translate well, making it really challenging with little payoff. Again, great concept, mechanics, and art, but for me it was very frustrating.

Very good game in concept, poorly executed. At the start the game was a fun detective game to piece together unknown words until you start to get around mid-game where you can start to deduce words based around other words or smaller/missed objects. But the late game is just such a drag, a lot of the words are not properly translated, since this game was translated into english using a cipher to solve the words will sometimes just result in incorrect words. I would recommend at least looking into some spoiler free guilds before playing since the tutorial is about three sentences long.

Honestly. the concept of the game is great, at first I really enjoyed trying to figure out what was going on and translating it. but very quickly I realized that was the entire game really. I'm sure if you're looking into this game you probably like puzzles, but my problem with the translating aspect of the game is the way its handled (see last paragraph).
The game entirely revolves around learning words, most if not all of the gameplay is clicking an item, and she said the name of the item, and you decode it. thats it, want to talk to her? you cant, she will just say "head" if you click on her head. and blush if you click her body !
And that isnt to mention that the game tries so hard to be deep, but by the time you have gotten to any meaningful dialogue, youre 4 hours in, and just trying to get the "true ending" and none of it hits because of it. This isnt to mention the fact that i just HATE the "true ending". its in poor taste if you care at all for
domestic violence. It treats them quite literally killing their significant other as "ending everything" and "punishment for our sins" all while exclaiming that you love them. i closed the game after this, just entirely gross and ruins any of the care they thought they put into the dynamic of these characters.
Maybe i just missed something, but major spoilers for how the puzzle is solved ahead. TLDR if you don't want the spoilers is that there is an aspect of solving it that really didn't make sense unless you knew one small specific thing that the game does not give you.
The translation is a shift cipher, but you're suppose to just know that you skip Z when you loop around, as far as im aware this isn't typical for a shift cipher, but I don't do a lot of these so i could be wrong. it feels like such a small odd thing thrown in without much care to make the puzzle harder. incredibly frustrating to find out when you have managed to solve some words but not others, and the only reason is a simple letter skip for seemingly no reason.
I cannot recommend this game, when the story is little and far between, and the gameplay is click an item and she says the name of it. and then the little actual dialogue you get, is a really gross ending. and the entire game is revolving around a puzzle that has its own issues. Feel free to tell me if i missed something, but for the ending alone i dont recommend.

I really wanted to like this game. The concept is awesome and I genuinely had fun trying to decode words little by little... At first. After 2(ish) hours I had already explored every inch of the house and there was no way to find any new hints for the words I was missing. So I looked up a guide and found out that theres multiple spelling errors that make it impossible to properly identify some of the words. Not only that, the game lacks any kind of localization, making the already somewhat awkward caveman speech even harder to understand due to how different japanese speech works compared to english.

OVERALL SCORE: 6/10
+ very, very interesting concept
+ nice story
- dull gameplay - I decoded most of the words on first day and just kept on aimlessly clicking for the rest of the week. I think it would be better if the words were distributed more evenly throughout the game - for example, by gaining access to other rooms on consequent days
- I wish it had more "meat" to it - more interactive objects, things to solve, events, varied interactions with the host. Cooking or gardening is fun the first two times, but quickly becomes boring.
