Hi All, If you are a fan of the Alien universe then do yourself a favour and buy this.
Great graphics, storyline and atmosphere! It feels authentically ALIENS. The gameplay is fun and I found no bugs since they patched the game. The issue picking up items has been addressed as has the unnecessary bug attacks everytime you had a task to perform. I have absolutely no complaints and fully recommend the game. Cannot wait for Part 2.
Keep em coming i say. Real pity that people now run down games instead of offering constructive feedback which is useful to the game creators. I often fear these trolls will bury the games industry as impacting on sales has a massive detrimental effect.
Please ignore the haters and enjoy this awesome game.

I love this game,
I have been a fan of the Aliens universe for a long time and have play almost all the games. This game is a Aliens nerds dream . I had no issues with performance or the game play. My only complaint is that there is not that much down time. You will constantly be attached by aliens. I would have like to read all the emails without having to watch my back but i guess that is the nature of the game.
I cannot wait for Part 2, great job Survios.

Not having a decent Aliens fps since Aliens Isolation this provided a decent surprise to play (not being a fan of top down/3rd person shooters that have come out for this series recently) while there are a share of haters that don't like it was vr exclusive (though the upcoming non vr version has now been announced ) and the part 1/2 issue I still enjoyed this as a whole and is the first vr game I have played in some time.
positives
- decent challenge on normal
- reasonable variety of weapons
- Can provide some shocks
- decent lore based on a comic book character with a loose tie to aliens isolation
negatives
- some glitch's e.g Aliens coming out of solid walls (doesn't help that the developers have formally dropped
patching for this)
- the respawn issue people complain about where Aliens respawn every minute or so (a few blips on the motion detecter telling you their in the area) though it wasn't that bad during the time I played
- would of liked to see a flame thrower as a weapon and a grenade for the pulse rifle
Hopefully part 2 is also in vr (and non vr for those wihtout)
played on: quest rift 2 graphics weren't too bad

I understand many of the negative reviews in terms of the initial dishonesty of the developer and fears over the abandonment of further patches that might help some people with better optimization. Those are valid reasons for a thumbs down.
My experience having only recently purchased the game is to have found its performance mostly acceptable despite some proper jankiness with certain mechanics including the gunplay - there are far less expensive games with much better shooting mechanics in VR. I am nonetheless a huge Alien fan so playing a game like this is a dream come true and it is comfortably the second best Alien game in VR after Alien Isolation with the MotherVR Mod ha. The story is decent so far, art design, graphics and effects are just what you'd hope for and overall I think it's well worth the $20 I paid.

this game is intense!!!
it requires 2 things. good VR legs and a system that can play it. however, if you can handle those two things. you will have an amazing experience. I highly recommend.
more games like this need to be made, instead of the crappy cartoony looking games

I just got into VR a few months ago but this is probably the most immersive VR game I have played so far. I definitely recommend it simply to experience the interactivity of the world. Wiping off computer screens, climbing pipes and ladders, or even just putting on a randomly found helmet feels really good!
What doesn't feel good is trying to manually reload and swap through your weapons while being attacked by 3-5 (or more) aliens, consecutively. Maybe I'm simply not coordinated enough to manage all of that, but combat often felt more like a game of chance than a defensive battle. It's possible that the intention was to make battles more tense, but if I had 3 or more Xenos in my area without a convenient break to reload before another one came, then I knew I was dead every time. The small amount of health you get, and limited inventory space doesn't help that either.
Unfortunately, I couldn't finish the game due to this (possibly personal) difficulty. I still managed to put more than 11 hours into this which made it worth it for me and I may revisit it again in the future.

Finally, a good PC VR game.
It has gotten quite a few down votes, but i think it doesn't deserve them.
It ran smoothly and never crashed( Quest 3 + top of the line PC )
The atmosphere is quite scary and keeps you alert most of the time.
Weapons are fine, graphics = good.
The only thing i'd change/add is the AI for the enemies. Given that there is only 1 main enemy( ignoring final boss and a few face huggers ), it should "do more".
It should try to hunt you and react to the players movement and getting shot.
I'd like to see different "attack modes" and "defensve modes" from the aliens.
I.e they could sometimes retreat, climb back up into vents, hide behind desks and learn to ambush.
If they get shot, they should react to it and either pull back, dodge or commit to straight forward attack.

I want to like this game. I've been eagerly awaiting a true Alien survival horror experience since Alien: Isolation. But this just isn't it. At least not right now. The game has trouble running at medium on my RTX 3070ti. Maybe by the time part 2 comes out, the game will be better optimized or I'll have a better gpu. I just hope 20th Century doesn't take the criticisms of this game as a sign that we don't want Alien horror or survival horror games. I do want them. Makes me think if this game could have done better if it was just a desktop game. Regardless, I wish the developers the best of luck in their endeavors.

Just not very good at all. People have already talked on length about performance and stability issues, but even disregarding these (There are ways to make the game work), its actual handling of Alien as a franchise is incredibly poor. The Xenomorphs -- once depicted as frightening, perfected killers - are made into generic baddies for you to kill with ease. They pose virtually no threat at all, and there is no option for creativity in dealing with them - no hiding, no diversions, no traps. You run, shoot, kill, loot. This works for some settings, but not at all for Alien, as it completely misses the tone and feel.
A port of Alien Isolation to VR, with no changes made but those necessary for it to work in VR, would have been leagues better than this in every conceivable way.
