this game is so incredibly polished its hard to imagine it was released in the 'unfinished game releases' era. even some of the best game franchises have fallen victim to this curse, and Hi-Fi RUSH completely destroys this stigma. I'm so sad Microsoft shut down the studio after the game released, but the game is still amazing.

In a sea of action games that insist on following the Souls formula to a T with slow combat, micromanaging numbers, and a stamina bar that forces you to play a marathon while the bosses run sprints all over you, this game is a breath of fresh air that goes back to the action games that focus on speed and style. The addition of the rhythm system helps this stand out from other fast paced action games like Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, and Ninja Gaiden. Definitely one of the better action games to come out in recent years.

Everything is synched to the beat. A rythm game to the very core. Amazing voice acting, animations and level design. Gameplay is very snappy and satisfying.
PS: Sad to see that completing the game in a higher difficulty doesn't also award you with the lower difficulty completion achievements. From what I've seen, this game is a (fun) time sink to 100% so completionists beware.

I don't really leave a review on games at all but this game deserves all the praise it gets. Genuinely had a lot of fun playing it.
I would ABSOULTELY recommend anyone to try this game at least once.

This game cured my video game exhaustion at the end of 2023! It has great characters, design (both sound and stages), music, and gameplay. EVERY MOMENT of playing this game is a joy to my mind, ears, and eyes. And they did it with an insufficient budget—LIKE WHAT?
Thank you, Tango, for making this game, and shoutout to Krafton for reviving Tango thus making a sequel possible.
10/10—will recommend to everybody I know (which I do). Will buy the sequel INSTANTLY.

Hi-Fi Rush was a genuine surprise. A cell-shaded rythm action game dropped in the 2020s sent me back to the games I played as a kid. It had colorful designs, genuine humor, and was actually super fun to play. I hadn't been hooked in by a game in a very long time.
Of course, Xbox shuttered this studio anyway. RIP Tango Gameworks. I hope you guys move on to doing other fun and creative projects.

this is one of the greatest games of all time. I am truly disapointed that the game studio that blessed us with this masterpiece was shut down

I can't get into rhythm-action games, but this one is really good at introducing newbies to the genre. I'm just not going to finish it.

This game is like if Devil May Cry and Scott Pilgrim (the comic version) had a love child and it's amazing!
Xbox messed up shutting down the studio, this game deserves a sequel, and I pray every day we get an announcement.
