I don't even need to say why this game is good the game speaks for itself. Easily one of my favorite games of all time. Highly recommend whether you play rhythm / hack n slash games or not.

Hi-Fi Rush is a beat-driven action game that will test your toe-tappin’ and combo-slashin’ skills—and it totally rocks. You play as a rockstar wannabe named Chai, who’s out to overthrow a corrupt AI-run megacorp. His plan? Take down each division head one by one, syncing every punch, dodge, and slam to the rhythm of the music. This fusion of rhythm and action is what makes the game shine. There’s a lot to love here. The art and animation are nearly as distinctive as the gameplay loop. A cel-shaded comic book aesthetic blends seamlessly with vibrant anime-style visuals, delivering eye and ear candy in every scene. While the pacing drags a bit in the early chapters, it’s overall tight and well-balanced. Each level offers hidden areas to explore, platforming challenges, and diverse enemy encounters that keep the combat fresh. Oh, and 808—the robot cat companion—is an adorable, purring highlight. Although the writing got a few chuckles out of me, it leaned into cheesy territory by the end. I appreciated the satirical jabs at corporate culture (especially knowing what the dev team likely endured during development), but even that theme started to feel a bit overplayed. Interestingly, most of my pacing and repetition gripes occurred early on—the back half of the game really hits its stride. Hi-Fi Rush is an action-packed, joyful love letter to fans of Guitar Hero, Jet Set Radio, and Devil May Cry. 8/10

Genuinely one of my Top 10 Games of all time. I recently replayed it on my PC and i wanted to write a quick review to encourage anyone that hasn't played it to PLAY IT NOW!!! Incredibly stylish, very funny, THE MUSIC <3, a simple but good found family story, stupid yet likable goober protagonist, good characters all around, and gay women. What more could you want in a game?

A fabulous combination of Devil May Cry, Sekiro, and a Rhythm game all in one. A really fun game with incredible animation and style!

Hi-Fi Rush is a well-made game with strong visual appeal. It plays smoothly and easily, and it clearly targets a fairly specific audience—namely younger players, probably under 16. It’s somewhat reminiscent of platformers like Spyro the Dragon, which felt almost like relaxing games due to their simplicity. The story is light-hearted and comedic, the rhythm-based combat system is very forgiving (which makes sense given the target audience), and the music does its job well. I finished it out of principle, but I had to admit—I’m probably a bit outside the intended age range. =)

Game doesnt take itself too seriously, its a nice change of pace from all the current games that are already out. It is very forgiving on the lower difficulties so even people like me can enjoy the game for what it has. 9.5/10 I wish the game was longer

Love it. Glad to see Microsoft didn't shut the studio down or rather sold it to the PUBG Publisher. Really glad that never happened.

A game clearly made with a lot of love and hard work. Its sick art style, banger OSTs, and the fact that literally every object on the map moves with the beat are just some of the things that make this game unique. It was definitely fun bobbing my head to the beat in every fight. Also, there's a redhead with a Scottish accent and a dancing cat in the game, so I highly recommend it.

Absolutely fantastic rhythm beat-em-up action game. Tastefully cheesy, beautiful art, banger soundtrack.
