I'm just getting into playing this. Overall, I am finding it a good review of hiragana and I'm now learning a few new words on the way.
The only thing that is causing me problems is that the voice samples for hiragana seem too quiet and a bit muffled; even with the BGM off. This seems less of an issue with vocab voice samples. Since the other sound effects seem louder, if I turn up the volume enough to hear the voice clearly, then the sound effects become almost painful.
If there is a future update, I would ask for a way to control the voice sound level that is independent from the sound effects. Or if nothing else, maybe resample the hiragana parts. Thanks.

It's a good time killer for helping retention of words you already know in Japanese.
I'm not sure how it would work for a pure beginner.
My only complain is that the main character move too slow between monsters. I wish the game would be faster. That and SFX are way too loud versus Voice.
Pretty good game overall.

This is one one of many games/resources I have for learning and practicing Nihongo. I ran through the first three levels and am impressed. What is great is that it does not use one consistent font for the kana - because they do look different to the untrained eye, as do any letters in a particular "font." This adds a level of flexibility to the process of learning which is useful when some kana bear resemblance to others in different scripts.
I played about five hours of Japanese learning games today, between mobile and steam. This one was the last one of the night, and the perfect end to a educational night!

coming from someone that is N5 qualified and working on N4
1 its a good game
2 please dont give the answers for the vocabulary for EX the vocab at the top is written as blue/ao -- stomach/i -- train station/eki i think having the answer for the vocab is taking away from learning the word
3 all the monsters make the same sound when you kill them
its a good over all game my main complaint is the vocab giving the answers
