It runs well, Pros Character creator easy to upload/download to steam workshop ability to enable/disable steam workshop content every time you hit save on the editor a backup is also made Cons Map editor has no stage hazards except water and lava keyboard is required to close out of the return to player select seems It took a while to remap the buttons I am using an X-box controller, the configuration shows an image of an PS controller no reset to default controls for controller configuration Not that big of an issue, but a quick character tester in the controller configuration would be helpful.

I thought it was decent enough; I really like the vast amount of characters available via the Steam Workshop thanks to the community really getting their hands deep into the creation tools. I haven't messed around with that part myself. The only thing really holding me back from really playing this game anymore is the fact that I can't do online co-op with my friend vs AI/CPU opponents. These type of platform fighters I've always enjoyed playing with friends, working together to take on increasingly more difficult computer opponents, and just synergize our respective tactics. I don't really care to engage in the online matchmaking against real people. We're not that invested and don't want to get dunked on all the time; we'd just like to have a friendly game where we can work together with no stakes. Unfortunately, at best, I haven't seen any feedback on this being an eventual feature. At worst, I've seen a lot of misinformation being thrown around about it's capabilities. I'll just set the record straight: as of time playing about a week ago from the time of this post, trying to play with a friend online on a team, there is no "CPU+" button in the bottom-right corner like I've seen others say there is in online play with friends. I've tried everything suggested including changing the size of the window, changing the resolution, etc. It's there if you're playing local and by yourself, but otherwise, no. Besides that, it seems decent enough. I personally didn't see any crashes in my time playing it, and the character roster via the Steam Community is pretty vast, albeit, having several older entries that have been marked as not compatible with the current version of the game or just no descriptions at all, but most of the characters I downloaded to try seemed to work well enough (quite a few had such basic move-sets that they were practically unplayable but a majority I tried worked okay).

I've been trying to get into character creating and I have to say, the editor crashes far too much. When I can't even do so much as make a rig before the game crashes FOUR TIMES then I can't in good faith recommend this. Also, do not play on a low-end pc.

I only use the character creation tool. It is fast, easy, and does what I need it to do for my own personal projects.
