I bought this game 3 years ago when it came out. Never worked since day one, as it crashes once loading up level 1. Developers haven't given input to the community or addressed it at all. The same developers are planning to release House of the Dead Remake 2 - no thank you. The fact that you ignored paying customers in fixing something they PAID FOR that's broken, doesn't instill confidence.

I remember this one from the Arcade and despite some annoyances, this is an old-school good time. HOTDR is on-rails and tough, plus it's difficult to tell what is shootable in each scene, except for the baddies. I like to take my time and explore areas, but not this game...everything goes by so fast and you can't go back to get something you missed until the next playthrough. You better be able to use a mouse 'n keyboard or lightgun because this game would be a nightmare with a controller.
HOTDR takes less than an hour to go through and complete, and then it's over...I guess you go through it again and try for higher scores, and look for new areas? It's definitely fun for what it is, but I'm glad I got it cheap.
