Okay so this game is for a very specific kind of person. This game does have really eh combat. And not very good menuing. And the story is essencially disposable. BUT if you are here to just want to make cool gundams from series you like and your own build of all these gundam parts as kitbashes yeah this is great. I feel like these type of games can over or under complicate things, breaker 4 in my opinion goes for that good medium where you are certainly limited but there are still enough options for a lot of personal expressions. What's more making dioramas with all your models is fantastic so while I can't talk much for the actual "game" as in combat parts of the game I think the building part is worth the buy if you want to make your own mobile suits.

Gundam Breaker 4 is a fun game, especially if you grab it on sale. The story is simple and cheesy, but easy to get through. The real fun comes from the Gunpla building and customization—tons of parts, colors, and weapons to mix and match. If you like making your own Gundam, this is the main reason to play. Multiplayer exists, but the player base is small. You’ll mostly find people online in the evenings (EST). Still, the game is good on its own even if you don’t play online. Achievements are easy, especially once your parts are strong. Two achievements need you to upload a Gunpla and a Diorama to the server—no design effort needed, but you do have to wait for certain events to unlock them. I found the DLC was unnecessary to 100% achievements but if you like to collect and build then get the DLCs Overall: Not perfect, but a good time if you enjoy building and blasting with custom mechs—just wait for a discount.

A huge step up from New Gundam Breaker. Not quite hooking me like GB3 did when I first played it, but it still has a lot going for it.

I lost 133 hours to a power outage, tried recovering my cloud saves, which did not work either, then decided I would start over, and the tutorial soft locked me... bandai as someone who has been an avid fan since gundam breaker 2 this is UNACCEPTABLE. If there is ever a gundam breaker 5 I hope you have something in place to prevent things like this, really left a bad impression.

A great gunpla simulator but the gameplay is quite lacluster. In this game there is no such thing as purpose driven build with compromise, you just make whatever you like and go bash waves of enemies disguise as missions and nothing else. The main story is tasteless but the parts libray is wide as bandai line up kit bandai made some of us wonder what could look like a gunpla MMO/RPG through the anime equivalent but failed at giving us the illusion of a living world and delivered us a disapointing story line with a generic hub Hey what about making one of your gunpla fighting simulator or a what if gunpla was a MMO anime work as a game i enjoyed toying with the parts roster but i don't enjoy mindlesly bashing mobs in loop

Preface: I like this game for a lot of reasons and steam doesnt have a "Maybe" option for recommending. Pros: It's a lot cheaper to toy around with builds and paint schemes in this than IRL, its also a lot faster. Yes it's not as free as what you can do with your meat suits but it's pretty dang generous. What we got is fun enough, a bunch of suits and the ability to combine them to get parts in scales that arent otherwise available. Everything else: The story is fine but if you saw Build Divers it's just that but not as good. There's a mission counter that feels like it's trying to replicate what we see in Build Divers but it's missing the ability for us to make our own missions. On the topic of missions, unfortunately there is only one two missions that are repeated for the entire time, it's either "Big Boss Fight" or "Wave Fight ending in Boss", it's painfully repetitive. Lastly the characters are about as 2D as you can get in a game, it's not a deal breaker for me but it's really like all the main characters are just side characters from another story. Lastly, I dont understand why there isnt a sprite/gender/whatever selection for you the player, you dont have a voice, you're barely ever seen outside of your suit, just... meh Like I said, what we have is good enough but there's a lot that just isnt there. Treat it like a toy builder with a mediocre game attached to it
