I have played the demo, and I have bought the early access game and have played it for about 5 hours. This game has some great potential but still needs lots of love, story, guides, missions, many issues fixed, etc. Definitely needs a lot more content and items added. However, all in all I believe that if the devs listen to most of what the player base suggests the game will become great!

I spent 1 hour and 40 minutes trapped on the Europe space station trying to reach the capital. Unfortunately, in the developers infinite wisdom they decided to try and have 9 flights share one dock where the shuttles just keep landing inside each other pushing the passenger (me) out of the shuttle repeatedly. I closed the game out of frustration due to the developer's utter idiocy around this design. Who would have thought that having 9 flights sharing a dock would be a problem? Why isn't there a mechanism to prevent ships from approaching the dock while another ship is docked?

This is basically Star Citizen were it being made by a competent indie team; the functioning pubkic transportation is a testament to that. There is seemless ground-to-space transitions and vice-versa with a interstellar travel system much like Elite: Dangerous where you still have control but also the Star Citizen QT system (that actually works as well, thank goodness) for longer distances. Sometimes, during courier missions, you may choose to fly to your destination without using your warp drive much like an aircraft.

This is pretty cool, but it's also empty; there are a bunch of "contracts" you can take, but they're mostly fetch quests or your typical "Go kill X amount of Y and return". The environments are nice to explore, but don't expect to find much in the way of loot or anything. It's a fine start, but it's not really a "game" yet. If you're keen on supporting the devs, go for it, otherwise, I'd suggest giving it a wait.
