Truly a gem of the Adventure RPG genre. Unique, exciting, wonky, strong in its sense of self, this game is a truly short and extremely sweet journey (north)

Beautiful visuals and so, so atmospheric and immersive. This game really stands on it's own when I see the variety and creativity put into it, whether that's the environments you have to navigate through, the ways you navigate through them, the tools and weapons you get, or the recurring characters' styles.
One thing in particular that stood out most was depths or heights. You can climb literal mountains, then look down them and see where you came from. Fallcrush was a great example of this.
I think the problems I had with terrain collision, enemy pathing and difficulty spikes were frustrating but maybe I just suck. A better way of looking at it is, like Dark Souls 1, any `jank` is part of the experience :^) It doesn't change the fact that it's a gem.

Wow. What a beautiful, special game. There were so many moments in which I wish I could smell the air of the scenery, and I certainly imaged doing so. I haven't played anything that has given me this feeling in a long time, and it was truly a special ride.
It wasn't perfect of course. I feel like the game relies too much on it's combat, which although fun at times, is not varied enough to match how much it is used. The late parts of the game are particularly guilty of this, which can become a little frustrating at times (especially with the slow speed projectiles). But if you're looking for a surreal, enthralling, yet moody visual journey then this is one of the best games to find that in I am sure. Although it is simple, the game uses that to its strength and I hope the developer feels very proud of his creation.

Great game. It reminds me of old norwegian folk tales and myths. And the sights are stunning, it feels like Norway. The music is great as well.

Very atmospheric game with a lot of detail to the environment. Exploration is fun because the enemies constantly change as you traverse to different areas so you are always on your toes. This map is not very linear and doesn't really have a map, so the only problem I have is getting lost.

Absolutely phenomenal game. The atmosphere throughout each of the game's unique areas, sespecially mid to late game, is palpable and capturing. The thought and care that was put into the wide variety of enemy and level design is astounding to come from a solo developer, in both style and function. This game also uses a lot of really unique and interesting mechanics throughout, even introducing brand new mechanics late-game that actually see quite a bit of implementation. I was expecting maybe 10-12 hours of gameplay from this, but this is one of those games that just keeps on going farther and deeper than you'd expect. I would recommend this to anyone. I HAVE recommended this game to everyone. I could've paid $60 for this game and been happy, so grabbing it for $12 is a no-brainer.
Indie solo devs never cease to amaze me.

This is a very good game. It has an extremely unique vibe and atmosphere. the characters were engaging and the game was surprisingly beatiful considering the rough, to say the least, graphics.
That being said, it SEVERELY overstays it's welcome. the last third or so was just unpleasant to play. I was so ready for the game to end for about 3 areas and god knows how many bosses. It feels like the devs didn't know when to stop and just kep adding stuff. as a result the game ends up feeling bloated.
That is not helped by the fact that the last few bosses were just not fun fights. adding 35 minions to a fight against a toughter than normal enemy doesn't make a good boss. Did we really need 5 version of the final boss one after the other?
I don't want to sound like I hate the game. I still enjoyed it and the devs should be very proud of what they acomplished. It clearly has a lot of passion behind it. I can't overstate how much I love the bizarre vibe of this game, I just think it would have been better as a shorter experience. took me around 13 hours to beat and personally I think something between 8 and 10 would have been perfect
