Finally a simple VR shooter. Yes you can choose to have complicated reloading, but this is the only game I've seen where you can choose how you reload. Throwing stuff feels fluid and powerful, and is easily my favorite part of the game. The 7 different arenas give me different euphoric feelings. I highly recommend this game for anyone looking for a VR game they can play easily without frustration, that is also polished.

I mainly play Beat Saber in VR but I heard about this game because the devs are popular Beat Saber mappers who are now getting into VR game development. I fully support Indie developers so I thought I’d give this one a shot. I’m definitely not a hardcore gamer or can call myself very good at VR shooters. So I definitely fit into the casual gamer category this game is geared towards. The first thing I noticed when I loaded the game is how intuitive everything is. I see some guns in front of me and targets and I can immediately try it out and learn what to do. I didn’t have to wait for any tutorials, cut scenes or anything. I could just start doing some shooting and have some fun right away! There is an actual tutorial if that’s what people need. I tried that and soon found out that everything they go over with you there is already what I’ve learned on my own just in the main lobby playing with the guns and objects. There is also a place where you can choose your character and go through settings. Speaking of characters, there are lots to choose from! Some are very hilarious but I will not spoil that here. I love that there is a setting to auto load your weapon with one button click. I find weapon loading to be very difficult in VR. If you want to load manually, there is also an option to revert to that for more advanced players. There is also a setting for seated play which when checked, sets the proper height to compensate for someone sitting down. This is great because shooting all theses demons gets tiring! On to the actual game. I played the Slump level and I reached wave 4 before I finally died. The demon kept coming at you in groups so and you really need to pay attention in all directions. In terms of movement, the games uses smooth locomotion and snap turning which is pretty standard in VR so it is very intuitive. It is by no means an easy game, but the arena is pretty big and there is definitely some strategy you can devise trying to kill these demons. You can really run and hide and plan out how you want to get rid of them. Or you can just stand there and face them head on if you are good enough. Certain bigger demons are much harder to kill and some hurl fireballs at you! In terms of graphics, the game uses simply textures and polygons similar to games like Rec Room. Some of the animations like the clouds are really beautiful. The sound effects are good and the gun animations are pretty cool too. You can see and hear when your gun is out of ammo for instance. I still need to spend more time playing the other levels but so far I’m liking this game quite a lot. One thing missing I would say is multiplayer mode which I think will make this game even more fun. I’ve been told by the devs that this is something that might come in the future so I’m excited for that! One other thing I think that they can add is a teleportation mode since some people might get motion sickness from smooth locomotion in VR. So all in all this is a pretty solid game. Huge props to the devs for this. I truly believe we need more Indie VR devs to drive the VR industry. I recommend anyone to give this one a try. I can’t wait for what future updates will come for this game as well as any other new games the devs will release in the future!

Fuck this game. The game runs smoothly on my Oculus Quest 2 but the controls don't to jackshit. I can move my hands around but none of the buttons work. Don't buy this. I'm just lucky I got it during a steam sale.
