Fun little top down shooter/physics games. Throw them like rag dolls and move on. Short and sweet, worth a play

Cool cold matrix-office aesthetic. Plays better than it looks. Fun combat puzzle game. The main character is exceptionally handsome and has a sultry voice. What is not to like? Well it's kinda hard and I have to keep coming back to it to work on a floor.

Interesting story and the voice acting is really good. Gameplay is cool and the levels are satisfyingly difficult. It's a lot of fun yeeting your enemies through glass after a bad day at work.

It's good. I don't have tons to talk about as the game lacks the breadth and depth to do so, but what is here is of quite high quality. It seems as though its avoided the pitfalls of many other top down shooters, most of which are often employed to artificially increase challenge. In Menos, enemies are often placed in hard to spot areas before you alert them, but their never fully concealed, and they always wait until they are in frame before taking shots at you. Their reactions are realistically quick, but not so fast that you can't make any mistakes. They are also quite accurate up close, but if you side strafe them you can dodge their bullets when at greater distances. Though they can be a bit dense in the head sometimes when it comes to pathing and how they aggro to you, it is uncommon in the latter half of the game that you can clear a room by just standing around a corner and shooting them as they walk past. This all makes for a mostly realistic and enjoyable challenge, though I will say that this is with me only sparingly using telekinesis on enemies. I found that your mind powers, even with their cooldown, can easily be abused to clear rooms with little trouble. When only using guns, with psi powers as a last resort, it seems that the flow of the game is more consistent, especially with how unwieldy your powers can be at times. I didn't find any specific part of Menos to be really memorable, but its deliberately flat aesthetic, surprisingly good sound design and animations, and of course the gameplay itself, made for a short and sweet experience. Certainly a good omen for whatever Jack does next.

Definitely worth a few bucks! It's clearly a rough indie game, but it's an interesting premise as there's also kind of a puzzle aspect to it.

Solid game, great minimalist graphics. Does suffer from some bugs and some lack of polish: enemies that are thrown around can have a wonky hitbox.

Cool Concept, which could use some improvements -Gameplay- The game is set-up in a way where you must go through different levels by killing all of the enemies, with guns (pistol, shotgun and SMG) or with the aformentioned cool concept of the psychic abilities you poses, which allows you to throw the enemies around. The Problem with combat: The enemies AI is programmed in a way, that once they see you, they will shoot and kill you almost immediately, which forces the player into the position of hiding behind a wall and cheesing the encounters by just throwing the enemies around while in cover. This does lead to the encounters not being as fun as they could be, if head on encounters were more easily survivable. The psychic abilities: This is a lot of fun to play with the rag doll mechanics are fun, which occasionaly lead to me coming back to the game again after completion. However the mechanic is under used, as there isn't a lot in the enviornment that you can interact with to kill the enemies in creative ways. -Graphics- The Game reuses the same assets for all levels, which is fine for an indie game of this scale, but more variety would be greatly appreciated. -Difficulty- If you are not cheesing the missions, the game is definitely challenging, -Story- It's a basic story which is told in snippets between levels (the Tag surreal is fitting for this ascpect of the game) -Game time- It's a short game with the levels taking between 3-4 hours to complete in my experience. -updates- Some of the bugs I have encountered were fixed, although gameplay improvements and future content probably wont come as the developer is working on a sequel (which looks promising though) -Cost/Quality- The game is worth full price as it is very cheap compared to the time you will spend in the game and the fun you will have.

This is a neat take on games like Hotline Miami.... reminds me of Psi ops with the military secrecy aspect. I think it's worth a buy for the gameplay alone.... I do believe it needs some gore and more destructible environments, this game has promise!!!
Some neat ideas in a not so neat package.
Update: Some of my issues were fixed, updated the review accordingly. Pros: - Your psychic abilities are fun to use and throwing an enemy face-first into a wall is just satisfying. - The guns sound good and shooting them feels weighty. - We have actual voice actors for the story, decent quality ones too! Cons: - Most of the levels are just drywall sheets with some enemies in between, you hardly notice a switch in areas. - The story is almost non-existent, you get a few line of dialogue every few levels. - You will be shot from enemies you can't see, are lying on the ground or through a wall. (got fixed) - Enemies detection feels random and very overtuned. Once triggered they can track you through walls and will run into your crosshair face first. - Using your telekinesis on enemies feels like grabbing jello, you often just make them trip a bit. (got improved) Conclusion: The game is fun, but suffers from shortcomings in game design; dull levels, allseeing enemies and a main ability that feels slippery to use. Would recommend trying it out for yourself if you are searching for this kind of game.
