Depths Of Horror: Mushroom Day Reviews

This game feels as though it was roughly pieced together in a rush. Which is a shame, because the premise of the game and unique enemy could have been used to create a neat, short horror experience. At best, the navigation in the caves promotes a sense of claustrophobia. Achievements are a plus too, with all of them being easy to get. Despite this, if you need to kill an hour, there are better short horror games out there. There is not much enjoyment to be taken out of this one.

Mushroom picking goes very wrong and you find yourself running for your life from giant abominations. Simple first-person gameplay in dark and dangerous environments. Fairly harsh punishments for doing the wrong thing which can be a bit frustrating. Decent visuals and sounds, but nothing too memorable. It'll only last you about 30 minutes and I can't imagine you'll want to play it again, so I'd you get it, make sure you get it cheap.
